I remember one play when he took the ball in the backfield, fell down while managing not to go all the way down, regaining his balance, then taking it to the house for about 45 yards. Awesome!

One of the biggest weapons on this offense this year is actually Rodge's feet, and it is impossible to tell how truly effective they will be until we get into some live action. It is concerning to hear that the defense is still having so much trouble tackling, just don;t get how you cant tackle at this level. Hopefully that will be addressed heavily this week. It does sound like our defense has stepped up with regards to disguising coverages, and getting pressure on the quarterback. That alone will make a huge difference. especially against BSU who will be breaking in 4 new o-linemen. I still remember 2 years ago how painful that was. So does Vizza. I am starting to get that preseason optimism, and I am doing everything I can to temper it until we play our first game.

Ohio will score more that Ball State will. I think you guys forget that their O-line is supposed to be pretty awful this year. Btw, there is no way that we are under.

I think he transitioned pretty well last year. played in almost all of the games, yet I haven't heard him mentioned once by the Green Gang. So, does anyone know if he is still on the team? If so, does anyone have an update?

I stated this on the bsu board, but I agree with the comments about the line. We will find out very early about the d-lines ability. If they are unable to get in the backfield, and get man-handled by this line then we are in for another long season. I want to say there is no way it's gonna happen, but I have to temper my excitement until I actually see the players execute. If our d-line steps up we should be able to run extremely effectively against this d. Their line is smaller and faster and is designed to stop the pass.

You're probably right, but, as long as he keeps a 2:1 ratio of sacks to penalties, I'll be ok with him.

this is one of those threads that makes me bang my head against the wall. For all intensive purposes, a bcs school is one of the big 6 auto qualifiers. This is like trying to start an argument over the mid-major label. Everyone in the national media refers to us as non-bcs. I should know, I am no. 1 on season showdown. (sarcasm and bragging, man I'm a loser.)

I kind of thought that Lewisville might be a more central location for everyone since the game is on a weekday. What are everyones thoughts? How hard did Baylor really work to get where they are? Most of the teams are where they are because they have political officials in the right place at the right time. I think that there are many teams in the non-bcs, i.e. boise and tcu, that deserve a larger piece of the pie.
