Time will tell, but I have a lot more confidence in Mike Aresco than I ever had in Judy. I realize at the end of the day its up the the school presidents (or whatever they are at each school), but Mike A. seems to be much better at "steering" them towards success than Judy ever was.

Where does this PAC 12 deal leave us?
El Paso Eagle replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
We can't compete in CUSA on the field and you're thinking about ready to move up? -
Seems hard to believe the SEC is not talking to some schools from the ACC Do they wait for the Big10 to finish? If the ACC tries to put on a two tiered revenue structure would that possibly have some of the second level schools willing to talk to the Big12? Lastly if your the Big10 do you give ND a deadline or are they willing to wait?

Part of me hopes AZ, AZ State and Colorado go to the Big12 and Utah stays (have seen comments where they have said BYU would need to be out for them to consider - screw them). Pick up a team from the east (perhaps Memphis) and then see what happens with the ACC. Then when Oregon and Washington go to the Big10 tell the rest of the Pac12 to enjoy the MWC. Hard to imagine Cal and Stanford joining the Big12 due to the church related schools and the Texas schools.

Tez Dumars Named Assistant Coach
El Paso Eagle replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Athletics
Interesting hire. It looks like he has been coaching the West Texas Premier Basketball Club in Amarillo for the past couple of years. They always seem to have good teams in that area. Hopefully he can bring some players. -
Instead of taking shots at UTSA, maybe we should focus on why we have been a "Sleeping Giant" for 40+ years. Some point we have to stop bitching about others and raise our standards on what is acceptable success on the field. Sorry, paying what we do for our HC and AD we should expect more on the field and stop striving for #Hit6

North Texas projected to play CSU in 2022 Frisco Bowl
El Paso Eagle replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
If this is the "Real" Frisco bowl and we actually earn a spot (not backing in with a 5 win exception) then ok. -
Funny how Louisiana Tech fan, honestly like most fans would do after coach left, talked about how he had lost his coaching touch and wasn't able to do the job anymore. Guess maybe this was actually a case of a change of scenery doing him best
