  1. Time will tell, but I have a lot more confidence in Mike Aresco than I ever had in Judy. I realize at the end of the day its up the the school presidents (or whatever they are at each school), but Mike A. seems to be much better at "steering" them towards success than Judy ever was.
  2. I think the AAC realized that the future for G5 schools is placing yourself in the best locations for the time-slot fillers the networks will always need to keep their programing going.
  3. That's what we said when we left the Sun Belt
  4. With the financial constraints you would hope the G5's would pull their heads out of their backsides and work together to save money. The non revenue sports could really benefit for this.
  5. We can't compete in CUSA on the field and you're thinking about ready to move up?
  6. Seems hard to believe the SEC is not talking to some schools from the ACC Do they wait for the Big10 to finish? If the ACC tries to put on a two tiered revenue structure would that possibly have some of the second level schools willing to talk to the Big12? Lastly if your the Big10 do you give ND a deadline or are they willing to wait?
  7. Part of me hopes AZ, AZ State and Colorado go to the Big12 and Utah stays (have seen comments where they have said BYU would need to be out for them to consider - screw them). Pick up a team from the east (perhaps Memphis) and then see what happens with the ACC. Then when Oregon and Washington go to the Big10 tell the rest of the Pac12 to enjoy the MWC. Hard to imagine Cal and Stanford joining the Big12 due to the church related schools and the Texas schools.
  8. I was thinking 20. Four 5 team divisions with the top 4 in a semifinal game and the winners playing for the conference championship. Will give the bowls a couple of relevant extra games
  9. So far it does not seem the other sports matter near as much as Football
  10. Have not tried it. Would be interesting to hear from someone who has.
  11. The question AZ, AZ State, Utah, and Colorado have to ask is it worth waiting because you know if Oregon, Washington, even Stanford or Cal get a call from the Big10 they will not worry about you one bit at all. Do you risk waiting for what could be a MWC merger?
  12. There have been rumors, not confirmed, that Fox has told the Pac12 they will not be bidding on the new TV rights.
  13. Currently using propane to be honest for the convince Yesterday we did chicken, hot dogs, sausage, and hamburgers
  14. Interesting hire. It looks like he has been coaching the West Texas Premier Basketball Club in Amarillo for the past couple of years. They always seem to have good teams in that area. Hopefully he can bring some players.
  15. My guess. The Arizona schools, Utah, and Colorado join. If Oregon and Washington say no does the Big12 go after Oregon State and Washington State? Still think Oregon and Washington end up in the Big10. Cal and Stanford could be left out.
  16. Per Footballscoop.com https://footballscoop.com/news/the-big-12-is-reportedly-looking-to-add-up-to-six-pac-12-programs Cal and Stanford could be left out in this
  17. Instead of taking shots at UTSA, maybe we should focus on why we have been a "Sleeping Giant" for 40+ years. Some point we have to stop bitching about others and raise our standards on what is acceptable success on the field. Sorry, paying what we do for our HC and AD we should expect more on the field and stop striving for #Hit6
  18. If this is the "Real" Frisco bowl and we actually earn a spot (not backing in with a 5 win exception) then ok.
  19. Funny how Louisiana Tech fan, honestly like most fans would do after coach left, talked about how he had lost his coaching touch and wasn't able to do the job anymore. Guess maybe this was actually a case of a change of scenery doing him best
