Was it just me or did our QBs look a little like Indiana Jones running from the natives at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark?

I think my eight year old daughter summed up the entire game about half way through the 3rd quarter with this statement: "We're green, but we don't look very mean."

Are you going to redo the facemask or just leave it alone? Look at the Franco Harris facemask. I think you could add a vertical bar in the middle then an extra crossbar and you would have the college one.

Keep in mind these facts: - one TD was the result of a turnover deep in NT's end of the field - not a whole lot you can do. - At the end of the first half, on a warm and humid evening, the defense withstood a 10 play drive, only to have the offense go 3-and-out, which Tulsa follow with an 11 or 12 play drive for their first TD - At the start of the 3rd, Tulsa gets the ball back and goes on a 10 or 11 play drive. NT radio said that the defense had been on the field for the last 22 straight plays. The offense responded with - - - 3-and-out. Conditioning for your defense will not fix this.

I saw some pics of the home unis last week, but they did not have the new pants yet.

I really believe J-Mo's problems were mainly of the 8 or 9 men in the box variety. SMU dared us to throw the ball and did not back off until it because apparent that Wilson could run or roll-out and throw. Then the safeties and LBs started to back off the line, giving NT more room to run. There were several plays in the first half where the safeties were 7 to 8 yards off the ball and the LBs looked like extra linemen.

Sounds like a stadium blanket. If that is what it is, I bought one last year for my daughter and she loved it. She either wraps it around herself or lays it out on the bleachers when the weather turns cooler.

Jamario ran against 8 man fronts for most of the night. SMU finally started dropping a safety back in the 2nd half, but for most of the night SMU was waiting on the run and daring us to pass. We went deep several time justs missing plays where WR was one on one with a corner. I think SMU's corner were worn out in the 2nd half. I will have to admit the game plan was decent. RF was jumping around on the field after game with the players.

Here's some encouraging news: I went to the store this morning to stock up for tailgating supplies (about to head out now with the wife and the girls!). I saw several people with NT shirts on and I asked each if they were going to the game. Every single one was going! I go in line and there were two girls with NT shirts on and I asked them if they were going. Yes! And the group in front of them (4 or 5 people) turned and said they were going to. I went to Chick-fil-a to get something to eat and a girl saw my NT shirt and asked me if I was I was going to the game. This is great! People actually saying they are going! See you there in a few!
