My understanding was that the athletic department had informed the school that they needed to know the new color of green by February in order for the new uniforms to be ready for the start of football season. They were not told until late March or April. The color of green NT has chosen is not a stock green and requires a special order. Voertman's has already said that none of it's vendors make clothing in that color and even the on-campus bookstore is having trouble apparently. The new logo can be found on white, gray, or hunter green. Apparently, t-shirts were found for freshman orientation, but those are only "official" green shirts that I have seen.

The session rule is actually a conference rule. You are right: it is a way for conferences to make more money. A few years back, I went to the Big 12 tourney in Dallas and it was the same way. I think that is why they were pushing the $75 pass so hard. It gets you into all the games.

According to Fox stats, UNT men were ranked number 1 in fewest technical fouls called against them with 0. To me, it is amazing that a team would go the entire season no technical fouls. ASU (tonight's opponent) had 8.

Uh, does this mean I should cancel my Mean Green Club membership? I didn't graduate from NT, but I still support NT as well as the school I graduated from. Is this wrong? I think some you who are complaining about the complaints are missing the point. RV wants us to buy more tickets, make more contributions, put more people in seats so the programs can go to the next level. Some of us respond. The first game of the season, the premium ticket area is covered in tar and people's clothes are ruined. The first guy I complain to tells me it will be cleaned up "before the next game". When they start to distribute cushions to cover the tar, they have to take down all of your season ticket info before they will give you a cushion. The concession stand was not a problem of running out of my choice of beverage, it was a problem of running out of just about everything. I am diabetic - when they run out of water and other low/no cal beverages, it is not exactly healthy for me to slug back a coke or powerade. To be perfectly honest, losing the game does not bother me nearly as bad as the fact that the athletic department just looked unprepared on Saturday night. That will not get us to the next level and it will not bring people back. The people sitting next to me were using someone else's tickets. Did Saturday provide the type of experience (they enjoyed the football) that will make them come back or buy tickets?

The reason for the outlawing of water bottles is due to people taking alcohol into the stadium in water bottle or switching labels. This is common at most stadiums - get used to it. My primary complaints were the tar on the seats in section E. Join the Mean Club, get the top seats, get to sit in tar. What benefits! And, one more time, the concession stands were out of water and most types of food and drinks and halftime. I'm not sure if a letter need to go to Rick or a little higher. We seem to be having the same problems every single year.

It is finals week on campus. It's nice that the team was recognized at the half, but I am rather surprised they did this during finals.

I can only see two solutions to this problem: 1) Get white turf so the flags show up better. Of course, the road team will be invisible, but hey, it's all about making the band look good. 2) I will personally join FFR in forming our own Flag Corp and marching at the game. No, we will not be as good as our regular corp. No, we won't look good. BUT - you will know what team we support!

Actually, the university is closed on MLK Day. This started last year.
