You are probably right. But, it just seems that our coaches have forgotten how to do things years ago. It seems as though they never "got it" to forget it.

Well i know there is either one of two parties that will be going at the end of this season from my perspective. It is either DD and his staff or it is me and my crew that comes to the game only because I bug them enough. But, I guarantee you both groups wont be back next season... or for the rest of this season for that matter.

Why do people get their panties in a wad when some threaten to pull their flow. From the reports on here and others I heard, when you call and tell the athletic department why you don't want to support the program you get indifference from them. If they don't care whether we give money, then I don't see the problem. They could care less, and I get my money to go towards some cool stuff that I wouldn't otherwise have.

The error I get is that there are a bunch of people in here that don't agree with me. I don't like that so much. Can you guys just get rid of the many errors on this board that don't agree with me. I would appreciate it. Much thanks

Listing off some of names from the team does little to convince me otherwise. And some of those you listed off are still suspect. This team has very little talent. The numbers, the record, and the on the field performance seems to make my statement valid.

Make no mistake about it... this was all coach dickey tonight. He doesn't have to be there for them to run DD's game.

That team hasn't come out since and it looks like it aint happenin'. Of course i want them to do well... and I will still show my support. But, I have no confidence in this team to get the job done. I have much more confidence that we wont. Love the name by the way.

You still have questions about this team? I am pretty sure things are answered for me after the result of the Tulsa, Akron, MTSU, and yes even the FIU game. I pretty much see what we have. We aren't winning the belt this year fellas. ASU, Troy, and La. La will be ahead of us when it is all said and done.

I am glad you said it... While he doesn't deserve the All-World Coach of the Year, he is moving a super-bad program in the right direction. And that deserves credit. The problem we cry out with DD is that he is back sliding and whatever "success" we had means nothing now that we didn't build on it. While the results may be somewhat similar, the directions of the programs are going two different directions.

You would think that a Miami commentator would be more professional than that.

That is funny.. because everyone that I shared the story of the game just laughed. They wanted to be there... but only to witness the hilarity and jokeness of it all. I am not impressed with the win by any stretch. Though it was very fun and frustrating to watch all at the same time. Triggity trav of the chinese chicken.

Yes... But, if you stop donating to a program that is set up this way, the fellow alumns and fans will stone you. So, dont stop the support!!!

All I know is I want to give money to a program that I know is trying to succeed. And when you have the leader of that program... say a head coach.. that is not succeeding, then we must place someone in there that will. And when that one doesn't work out, we get another. But, i am not going to give my power away to something that will not demand a certain excellence.

If that is what they would like. But, a good PR move ( I would think) would be to send a message to potential supporters as well. By the way, for those who mentioned that the MGC pays for all the sports... I already know and understand that. But, the two sports I care most about and go see are men's BB and football. Those two are the ones that will be the only reason I give.

I will not give my money (and it isn't much as a recent grad) away to something I don't support. And I don't support Darrel Dickey nor the product on the field I am seeing. I will only support this athletic department when I see that they raise the standard for success. Until then, I will put my money in other places. I will act when I see our athletic officials act. And I don't mean that I will give once I see success. I will give when I see that they won't give a tenure to some coach who doesn't deserve it. that I see an effort on their part to bring in some quality coach in here.

I just graduated two years ago. I would love to join the Mean Green Club. But, I never will until i see we have an administration raising the bar of success. That means, making good hires and fires when necessary. The only money they will recieve from me is a ticket into the game. And I am not so sure I am going to another one this year. So long as we get the results with who we have that we are right now... i refuse to support that. my two pennies worth

Yes they have changed sports editors. But that was a year or so ago when I believe the sports editor passed away. I liked him by the way. What I think it is... is Vito is trying to play nice with the team. the only way to be on the inside is to give them what they want for the most part. Because, i can't fathom that Vito actually would support a coach that produces what Dickey does on the field.
