Yes I went 0-2. They were both 1 point games though...not like a royally missed of something.

Looks like Clemson is gonna hold on. They basically led throught. There was one tie, but AF made acouple of late surges in the 2nd that made it interesting. Should be a good final.

West Virginia won on a buzzer beater in a really good game in the 1st semifinal.

The AFA has that unique style, which I thinkwill give Clemson fits tonght.

I know only true die hard college basketball fans watch or care about this(even though I'd argue winning the NIT beats being one and done in the tournament), but that's what I am. First semifinal WVU vs Mississippi State Second semi Air Force vs Clemson I got MSU and AFA winning. These are four evenly matched squads though, you can make a case for anyone winning this thing.

While that is a cool stat, I think it's one you can almost throw out simply because rarely do National Title contenders get upset early in league tournments. All four teams can win this thing, I'm not gonna dismiss the Bruins because of that stat. And I'm a numbers junkie.

You know, I'd never thought about that. No doubt there's more talent to draw from in DFW now.

At least there won't be four #1's. I picked UCLA preseason to win it all, and I'm not changing now. The defense they've played the last four games has been remarkable.

Yeah, I ran into that a few days ago. We have acouple of good highlights on it, but obviously not enough.

If Memphis stays strong, the entire league will improve in basketball as they try to compete. When UNLV was great in the late 80's/early 90's the Big West was a helluva lot better basketball league than they are now. Even the WCC has gotten noticeably stronger since Gonzaga rose to prominence. Those other schools may not be able to beat the bully(especially the bottom dwellars), but as a group they get better TRYING to do so.

The closest we ever got to all of the 1 seeds making the Final Four was 1993 when there were three 1's and a 2. But even that year in the Elite Eight the matchups were 1/2, 1/2, 1/3, 1/7. The 7 seed was Temple btw.

All four one seeds, 3 of the two seeds, and one 3 seed. I can remember 3 times that three #1's('93, '97, & '99) made the Final Four, but I believe this is the most chalk I've ever seen in the tournament.

Even if SIU moved up they wouldn't join the Belt. The MAC fits them better geographically. But they won't move up, because that would be a move down from the MVC in basketball. And that is what SIU is all about.

LMAO As I've said before Rick - I try to use something to set me apart(quite a few ppl use the same logo's, but I believe I'm the one one that uses this one). Plus this was logo we had while I was in school, so I do have a soft spot in my heart for it. Kinda like you like the BULLSEYE logo we had in the 80's, don't you? I personally don't care for that one much, but I know some do.

A&M doesn't exactly play an up tempo style. If he really wants to run-n-gun we should be near the top of that shortlist.

After how clutch he was all season? He was due to miss something like that. Just about all clutch players do at some point, because they always get the ball in tough spots. Hell, I even saw Jordan miss plenty of game winners.
