  1. Great news: The Mean Green have won this national polo championship for an unprecedented two years in a row. Not so great news: The Mean Green polo ponies have entered the transfer portal ….Rumors are it was the allure of more NIL hay!

  3. Due to NIL and the portal, AAC schools have become mere farm clubs for the P-5 who are nearing a monopoly on athletic talent. Maybe the new UNT logo should be an eagle sitting on a farmer’s plowshare!
  4. Late news flash…..UNT polo ponies have entered the transfer portal…..rumors are they’re looking for more NIL hay,
  5. Well, Buggs is bugging out, headed to his 5th stop! Transfer portal and NIL are killing college sports, especially mid-tier schools that have little chance of moving up,
  6. Prudence dictates that this young man be given some extra guidance and support off the field so that he stays on the ‘straight and narrow’ (i.e. keeps his nose clean’),
  7. Hmmm…..If the NCAA checks out fellow ACC member (SMU) what NIL violations do you think they will find?
  8. Oh no… not another Chandler for NT…..transfers in for rehab, showcases his skills….and then off to the SEC….seen this movie before!
  9. No problem on $MU player parent travel…donors will find ways to get them there…maybe raise player nil from $36k to $50k/ yr., charter jets, ?? When money is no object, there’s always a way!
  10. FIU is no P5-level team, or even a mediocre P5 team such as Cal. Scheduling Cal as the opening game was a bad mistake. It was close to one of those mismatched 'body bag' games that used to be UNT's annual, fund-raising' practice. That game was even a bigger mismatch given that UNT is in a major rebuilding phase, both team and coaching staff. UNT's 4 Horsemen of the Green Apocalypse (Ragsdale, Johnson, Adeyi and Adaway) should have a good night and run roughshod over a weak FIU D-line. 38-24 UNT.
  11. A more professional approach to the $MU departure is a premium exit fee, say $25 mil. This extra cash will help pave the way for Army's entrance into the AAC! Go Army!
  12. SMU wants to relive the 'good 'ol days' of boosters throwing cash and cars around to buy a winning team. Remember the Golden Trans Am? https://footballscoop.com/news/smu-recruiting-full-circle-trans-am (Note their use of a golden Trans Am for an SMU collective) Buying into a conference, pumping up their NIL, sucking on the transfer portal to record levels in order to create a well paid, 'Frankenstein' team..... none of who will spend 4 years at SMU. These would be a few of the practices that are ready to export to the ACC! SMU may have even created a new 'pay for play' angle. There are some rumors that donors are putting some players on the payroll to do 'endorsements' for their products and services, and paying targeted players from other schools to enter the portal. This is where deregulation leads...and it's fertile ground for an experienced player like SMU!
  13. Right...They get the assets, but they also get the liabilities, including the $50 million Comcast (overpayment refund) obligation
