  1. You know what would be really funny/frustrating is if Littrell has no idea about any of these rumors and hasn’t been contact by anybody. Like he pops on twitter later today and sees all the speculation and thinks “I leave for TWO days and everything falls apart!”. Lol I mean I’m sure he has an idea that he’ll be courted soon by K-State (if not already) but man, how dumb would we feel it this were the case lol. I do think there is some honest truth here though. We literally still don’t know anything. Everything is still “per inside sources”, which means nothing until it comes from the horses mouth.
  2. WB and the President are the best things to happen to UNT in forever. If they stick around, we will be relevant. I really hope they both do. Pay Wren well.
  3. I’m curious to know, how often do ADs stay at schools and are they poached just like head coaches are?
  4. Yeah, I’ll agree with the twitter stuff. That’s been pissing me off. K-State fans saying “our new coach looks great in purple”. There’s just no respect, they see UNT as a trash program that won’t put up a fight to keep their head coach. This is why I love Wren Baker, dude has been defending UNT on Twitter, making jokes at K-State fans, reassuring UNT fans, and making statesments such as he is “bullish” that we can keep littrell. He does not back down and is confident. It’s that New Denton attitude.
  5. Pure speculation, but this might just be something that's required by their university. Maybe it's in the contract for the AD so that they can "ensure" he considers all his options. Not sure... but I hope it's because Seth told them to bugger off.
  6. Yep, it's on SB nation's official bowl game website too
  7. I will say, I'm slightly annoyed with the Kansas State fans who think it's a done deal and are letting it be known. I understand it's just business if he leaves, but it just feels disrespectful. He's still our coach darn it! lol
  8. Lol... but seriously can they do this?? Get as much money to fund the next head coach/athletic facilities!
  9. Littrell did find Fine when nobody else did. Wouldn’t that success then be owed to both the coach AND the player? (Legit question)
  10. We’ve already been through this, there’s a whole thread dedicated to it, and Mason has already confirmed he’s staying with a long, honest post on Twitter.
  11. I think all the 3 star talent will help with depth if anything else. That is always a good thing.
  12. Woof, nice to see Mean Green fans take exception to the exclusion though (Not really sure I understand his excuse though).
  13. @GMG24 In terms of letting teams back in the game after being up 28-0, 17-3, and 21-0 it seems like depth (or something) is going on (They've also blown other big leads in games they've won). I think IF it is depth, then it is definitely more so with the defense than the offense. But I'm curious, do you think the main problem is the play calling on offense? Or that AND something else? It's at the point when I'm watching a game I could put money on the other team making a comeback. I totally agree with the play calling adjustment in the UAB game, though. While you want to keep a team guessing, if it ain't broke don't fix it. If Darden is hot, get that man the ball.
  14. While that is an incredible stat and I'm proud of this team for having the chance to win every game, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I think there's either two things we're missing: Depth and/or conditioning. I'm gonna say depth. That can definitely lead to a blown lead late in games. That and discipline.
  15. HE ALMOST SCORED! Tough 8 yard run down to the 1 yard line, said he was initially in but reviewed and overturned..
  16. He's a stud. Glad we have him for another year.
  17. You guys pretty much stated it above. Worried about the defense and offensive line. Receivers should be great as they will all be seniors (had some key drops this year hopefully they work on that). We'll have Mason, Torrey and Easly should be a solid 1-2 punch at RB. A couple returning DL and DBs, but other than that we'll need some stud LBs to fill what we're losing. Also, I'm pretty sure we're losing our kicker (Grad Student). As much as this may not seem like a big deal, Hedlund has been pretty solid for the most part. I think we all have experienced how frustrating it is to have a kicker that you don't trust. Keep an eye on that. (Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll delete this immediately)
  18. What is it with this team and allowing bad teams to stay in the game? It just baffles me how we start so quick and then just stall.
  19. How bout that? The QB who didn’t get any offers from any D1 schools loves the school that took a chance on him. We knew this already after watching his competitiveness on the field.
  20. “It crossed my mind... I want to play all 4 years here...this is home”. Stop freaking out y’all. That’s an encouraging statement. He chose to stick around, he wants to be at UNT. Heck, if I took the beating he has the past 3 years I’d consider finding a school with a better protection/offensive line too! Dude has worked his butt off for this school. No reason to turn on him.
  21. @TheColonyEagle agreed. After watching Tech choke against K-State with a tech friend of mine, I felt a sense of dread come over me. Although he was saying that he liked Klingsbury, he was also thinking that he would be fired. Tech hiring Littrell makes so much sense for them in terms of ties to the program and recruiting. I really hope he prefers UNT though. I feel like he could make a higher P5 jump if he were to have an even better season at UNT next year instead of going to tech now and spending 3 seasons at tech where the best record he’ll ever get will include 3 losses (because Tech).
