My friend posted this on her Snapchat story. The professor asked the class who we’re playing Saturday and here is what students thought. 2/22 said Rice, 5/22 said UTSA, 4/22 said UTEP, and only 11/22 (half) said Army. Half isn’t terrible, but I would like that number to be 75-80%. On the bright side, the professor said he will be at the game wearing green.

With the Vada King decommit, we’ve now had 4 guys decommit. I’m seriously confused. Why wouldn’t you want to play for a winner.

I read over on the CUSA Board a fan’s projection that seemed pretty believable. Plus, he went to Rice, so he is one of the sharper tools in the shed. He has us playing against Louisville in the Frisco bowl. How would you feel about that matchup?

Army got AP Top 25 votes this week (3) while FAU didn’t get any.

For what it’s worth: The Armed Forces Bowl & The New Mexico Bow have already contacted UNT. In fact, they have been at the past few home games in the press area.

Butch Jones was just let go be Tennessee. I would say there is a pretty decent chance he’ll end up at UTEP. Have a chance to go back to basics and show that he can win.

We won in 3 sets. 1 & 3 weren’t even close, but 2 was. Regular season conference champs.

This will be my last post on this thread, but this is what #OldDenton is. ETA: I didn’t create this meme, but I do agree with it.

I really liked the recruiting talk by the coaches at the end. They recognize that winning is what will pull kids in and that’s important. Once we win consistently kids will want to come here and once they come here we can be even more consistent.

I spoke with someone last night, who spoke with someone in the AD Monday night, and as of Monday night they were short $900k of having all of the money they need. $900k isn’t too bad, they just need to reach out to a few more big time donors and rub the right elbows.

If majoring in biology and psychology with a minor in chemistry is special needs then yes. It’s alright, I don’t take it personally, most people don’t care enough about a volleyball game to get fired up.

Alright 10-4: already 6-3. We win out the regular season making us 9-3. After that we’ll win the conference championship making us 10-3. Due to this we’ll get put in a bowl game against a very good team and lose making us 10-4.

I think these are pretty separate issues. I still assert that the alumni side isn’t loud enough (though I do recognize they contribute in other ways). Also, if the older alumni’s response to young alumni/current students is always “well back in my day” or “Well I’ve done this and you’re just a kid” I guarantee you that will hamper the future growth of the UNT brand and MGC. Younger people don’t like being told about how they aren’t as good of fans or how their opinions don’t matter as much simply due to not being on this earth as long.
