Dude is a 6-0 180 WR out of Mansfield. 247 gives him 3 stars with a rating of .8065. His only offer is from Southwestern Oklahoma State (D-II). He was covered not too long ago on Rivals as being highly looked over by schools because he has played in such a run heavy offense. We aren't currently recruiting but I think he deserves at least a PWO offer. I do think the rankings are important, but it also depends on what the staff thinks would fit best into our system. If you just pick up as many 3 stars as you can, but they don't fit into the system, you would have been better off getting the 2 star that fits. Plus we only have 20 spots this year compared to 25, so that is obviously going to be prohibitive in our hunt.

He has reopened his recruitment. Might this be the guy that came down this weekend and his coach didn't want him to be named because he was committed elsewhere? Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

This is what I was trying to say. I went to a 4A high school and it is probably the hardest level to evaluate because it's right on the cusp of being large enough to be a competitive atmosphere, but it's also small enough that there is huge variation in talent level from school to school and district to district. His film is great. But I would like to see what happens when he is in an even more competitive scenario. What happens against an FBS level pass rush?

Nice catch. I would say Brammer and Oluwaseun fill similar roles. I don't mean the same position of course, but I mean we likely wanted just one of them given our limited number of signing spots this year. On top of that, we already have 2 offensive guards committed, but only 1 WR with only 5 spots left. I just don't see a spot being there for him this year.

That comes out to a 133.9 QBR by the way, which is ungodly impressive.

77 TDs is very impressive but I really like that he only had 8 INTs this past season. Pairing that with a 64.6% completion rate and 5617 yards makes him a very enticing player. Given that he played in 4A-D1, there is a little question of if numbers like that translate to D1 NCAAF, but at PWO, it's worth taking a chance.

Sounds like Baylor's OV weekend was pretty productive. Hopefully we can get a few more commits from OVs in the next few weeks.

I would say with a strong performance next season and the coaches staying after him, there is a chance of him coming our way. Also depends on how badly the other schools want him and how many other OG/DTs they pick up who are better, but at the very least we're competing with these big schools.
