Isn't that crazy! DD was not here in 97 so that is a total of 6 and only two since 1999, and if you throw out the crappy conferences then only one quality win under DD, that being Tech

Not sure that stat really matters to many people in the DFW area. But a nice stat, would be to see how many wins we have had in the last nine years against teams that finished the year with a winning record, meaning better than 500 season. Then determine how many of those were in a competitive Conference.

I think we will see some big changes in both the play calling and the attitude of the players. Win it for coach Dickey can be a big motivator for the team!

Actually I bet there had to be one or two more like most overtime FG attempts in OT and most missed in OT.

It looked like about 5000 in the student side, hardly packed. And sad if you consider there are almost 34,000 students enrolled

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Florida International is ranked 116 and we are ranked 111 in the CBS Sportsline Rankings. It is homecoming and our team should be fired up and ready to play. It is going to be a very nice evening to play football. I think we can win in spite of ourselves.

RV posted this in August: Rick's Thread I think RV clearly defined what he expects from his coaches, and I can't see a way in hell DD fits this definition. There is no way DD is still here after this season.

Amen I think with any head coach in our history we would have done better, not only would we have had 5 Sun Belt titles we would have won a couple more Bowl games. Face it DD can not coach. I think DeLoach as head coach would would have taken us to the true Mid Major ranks. De Loach seemed to have real intensity.

I only wish that RV had fired DD & RF last Monday morning, to show that the administration is committed do what is necessary to grow our football program.

I am glad someone knows their Meds and maybe how to properly medicate, I think many UNT fans will need some help after this game.

A simple answer is the Buck stops with the coaching period. It is the coach's job to recruit. Coach the players. Motivate the players. Have a team fielded, ready to play, prepared properly to win football games. In short it is all on the coaches.

Just FYI; Michigan State is 3-2 according to the Bottom Ten.

I am still surprised that we did not make the list as it is.

No, Kidding plus as far as UNT's history goes we have the most money ever, and an AD that is going out of his way to fight tooth and nail to make North Texas a much better place for Athletics. From that stand point along with the automatic tie in we have to a bowl Dickey is in the best situation any UNT Football coach has ever had.
