  1. Thanks guys, 200 gallons will get you about 45-50 minutes for the kind of flying we were doing, at a higher altitude and cruising you can do much better, and low altitude with full throttle say doing fly byes and aerobatics much worse.
  2. This weekend turned out very well for several in the Mean Green Nation, I know I enjoyed mine. I took some pictures while tailgating and thought I would share. What perfect weather and a great game. Tailgating I was a little nervous after many bottles of dirty water and an entire day of tailgating and cheering on the Mean Green on to victory, I knew Sunday morning would come early. I had promised to take some air to air photos of a friend's L-29 Delfin fighter trainer jet. I get the call at 7:15am Sunday morning that the weather was cooperating, his plane was just washed and polished, he has a Bonanza A36 with both rear doors off and a pilot ready to go plus just he dropped 200 gallons of Jet-A in the l-29. But I am hungover and tired, I get rolling toward the airport and I start to feel better than I thought, by the time I get to Lancaster Airport I am starting to feel pretty damn good. The weather is perfect and the planes look great. We get in the air and I realize I can hang my feet out of the back of the plane while we are flying, bare foot. I have hung my feet out the back of trucks, boats, jeeps, trailers, sleighs, and I don't know what all, I have never hung my feet out of a flying airplane. Next thing we are flying along and tap a cloud and I can feel the moisture of the cloud on my feet, it was a first for me to drag my feet though a cloud at 4000 agl. Kind of felt like an Eagle, a Mean Green Eagle that is. Two very exciting days days in a row. Sunday Morning flying for anyone interested.
  3. Mean Green Up to 95 from 106. SMU fell 11 from 93 to 104. Hopefully this will get us off the ESPN Bottom 10. CBS SportsLine 119
  4. He couldn't even get the story right what a jerk-off, he was off by what 11 years. I guess he should pay better attention to his own information. It fills me with confidence that he is in touch with the fan-base. Tech didn't start it. The whole article is a year out of date.
  5. Very good question. SMU History Founded in 1911 by what is now The United Methodist Church and opened in 1915 I checked the score of the Rice game in 1916 and that is correct though, wow 146 points.
  6. Steelers Notebook: Steelers beef up at RB Cobbs, inactive for the 28-17 season-opening victory Thursday night against Miami, was released to make room for Davenport. If Cobbs clears waivers, the Steelers will try to re-sign him to their practice squad. Good luck Patrick!
  7. I can't imagine that going over well. Holly cow 146 thats about a touchdown every 3 minutes. Is that the D1 record? Or has a team hung more points on a opponent?
  8. With the great weather, an exciting beating of the ponies, and a UT loss?
  9. I don't know who coached that game, but it couldn't have been DD & RF, could it? Maybe we had a guest coach. Wow, some credit. I don't know what got into DD & RF but that was an exciting game, creative and gutsy. Congratulations DD and RF!
  10. The pony board just topped off a great day with a perfect dessert!
  11. See everyone at the game I am off to tailgate in the spirit of togetherness!
  12. We had quite a few for Tulsa. And we had a pretty large crowd each time we tore down the goalposts. So sure seems like we have had some higher attendances than the last two on the list.
  13. The News feels like a really bad omen! I think Patrick will land somewhere.
  14. Newest info as of Friday morning September 8, 2006. We now know, thanks to UNT_playmaker, that the Mean Green Nation does not have to worry about a hurricane hitting Denton for the SMU game at least. Thanks again UNT_playmaker, maybe UNT_weathermaker?? The latest from the National Weather service, and they believe: Today: Partly cloudy, with a high near 90. South southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. East southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Saturday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 92. South southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. Southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.
  15. Hummmm Where can you find a rail?
  16. Thanks Mean'n'Green07 I do want much more, I want UNT to be a solid mid-major and hopefully continue to move up from there. What ticks me off the most is I expected the Mean Green to be a mid-major 12 years after we went back to D1a, at this rate it won't be in my lifetime. I am not sure DD is even an average coach, maybe a just below average coach at least for NCAA Division 1A Football. Updated coaching
  17. From there it gets harder and I am not a video specialist, my next move would be to get the newest video drivers, then audio drivers. Those two drivers have caused the most problems in my experience. Check your security settings in windows and whatever anti-virus software you are running.
  18. We need an interactive seating chart of Fout's Field.
  19. Is your Windows Media Player up to date???
  20. Be quite clear that UNT is ripe for an up and coming coach, simply a winning season makes you a hero and will probably get you into the NO Bowl. Winning the conference well that is against the worst teams in NCAA D1A football. Better yet the conference champion automatically goes to a Bowl. UNT is in a major market so you don't have to move your family to some east bum F*ck town that has nothing else to offer. OMG can you imagine if you win an OOC game! On top of that you have a great Athletic Director going out of his way to help you every chance he gets. Being the current head coach at UNT you are in the best situation that any UNT football coach has ever had in our history. So yes if UNT puts the job up for candidates we will have hungry coaches applying out the wahzoo, and it won't be for money it will be to prove themselves, and to put their names on the map. The Money would take care of itself!
  21. I would say after much consideration of all the facts as they appear to me that is a probable yes!!!!
  22. If you are in the Orange Lot you better be there by 12:00 or I am taking all the spots!!
  23. Thank you, Troy! Yeah, what he said! Congrats on your 10th post!
  24. I like how you think. I feel where we disagree is on how great DD is or how much credit he deserves. Now he has only had three winning seasons to date. A winning season almost guarantees you a Belt championship these days which in-turn means a bowl birth. At UNT we have had 47 winning seasons with 8 or more games played. 42 of those in D1 which would mean a possible 42 bowl appearances. A better gauge may be conference championships which we have 22 in D1 plus 4 outstanding seasons while we were independent. That would suggest we would have been to 26 bowl games. The fact that DD has been in the best situation of any other UNT coach football in history is simple and in my opinion he has done the least with the potential at hand. He has the worst record of any coach in UNT history with four or more years with the team. We are still ranked on the bottom, nine years later I expected the team to never drop below 80 in the rankings again, but here we are bottom of the pile still.
