  1. Chris, I would be glad to sign such a document, I would imagine that a quick trip around the Orange parking lot before a home game would land you quite a few signatures. Tony
  2. I think we should get this published!
  3. They really did, up until they got tired.
  4. I think the answer is we need to buy DD a copy. He seems to only know one system. Coaching Football For Dummies
  5. I will tell what is sad, we figured out how to watch the game on a 60in TV. Now I am ready to puke.
  6. Dickey already gave up. I love Dickey ball!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. On the Denton Square? Are you serious? I will drive up there for that. Have you tested the quality yet?
  8. I will say it is my opinion that DD is a bad coach for college football D1A, he may be an average High School coach. He seems to be a very nice guy. But I think what the last nine years has shown us is that DD has peaked and we will not see much forward movement in our football program as long as he is here. We need new blood that is not afraid to win against top 25 teams.
  9. Steelers RB signs with Miami: The Dolphins added more depth at running back by signing rookie Patrick Cobbs to the practice squad. Cobbs, 23, was impressive during the exhibition season as he led the New England Patriots with 188 yards on 38 carries and three touchdowns. The Patriots traded the 5-foot-9, 205-pound back to the Steelers for a conditional seventh-round pick before the season. "My head's still kind of spinning but it's slowing down a little bit," said Cobbs, who had 4,050 yards in four years at North Texas. "I'm hoping I can get moved up (to the active roster) at some point. That's my plan. I want to be on somebody's team." Palm Beach Post
  10. To me it means another QB is coming in for sure but whether it is Phillips or Meager has yet to be determined.
  11. But they are on the waiting list.
  12. Next stop, Miami Rookie Patrick Cobbs, who made a strong impression in training camp and exhibition action with the Patriots, has been on a wild ride over the last two weeks. His latest stop is the Miami Dolphins' practice squad. ``It seemed like the best opportunity," said Cobbs, who cleared waivers Monday and then flew to Dolphins headquarters. ``The hope is that I'll spend some time on the practice squad and then have a chance to be activated to the roster." Cobbs, who led the Patriots in preseason rushing with 188 yards on 38 carries, had been traded to the Steelers for a conditional draft choice Sept. 1. While he was on the Steelers' 53-man roster for the season opener, he wasn't active, then was cut in favor of veteran Najeh Davenport. It was a surprise, but they told me they wanted a bigger back," said Cobbs, who then was courted to return to the Pittsburgh practice squad. But when Miami called, Cobbs felt that was a better landing spot. It's been kind of crazy, three teams in less than two weeks," he said. ``It feels good that teams want me, but then they don't want me. It's kind of weird. I'm just taking it day by day, looking to find the best place I could play." Cobbs said he is ``forever indebted to the Patriots for giving me my first opportunity." Cobbs was ready to sign with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League when the Patriots offered him a tryout. The Boston Globe Congratulations Patrick
  13. That is some classic double talk, well I guess Woody must still not be getting his reads.
  14. "Arkansas, New Mexico and North Texas all won to earn their Bottom 10 exit." Beaming up The Bottom 10 Thank goodness we are off that list!
  15. I would love to eat my words and looking at the rankings there is no reason a decent team should not finish this season 11-1 (Rank) CBS SportsLine 119 (74) Sat, Sep 16 Tulsa at Tulsa, Oklahoma 6 p.m. (46) Sat, Sep 23 Akron at Akron, Ohio 5 p.m. (105) Sat, Sep 30 Middle Tennessee Denton, Texas 6 p.m. (115) Sat, Oct 07 Florida International Denton, Texas 6 p.m. (107) Sat, Oct 21 Arkansas State at Jonesboro, Arkansas 6 p.m. (101) Sat, Oct 28 Troy at Troy, Alabama 6 p.m. (93) Sat, Nov 04 Louisiana Tech Denton, Texas 6 p.m. (103) Sat, Nov 11 Louisiana-Lafayette at Lafayette, Louisiana 4 p.m. (118) Sat, Nov 18 Florida Atlantic Denton, Texas 6 p.m. (106) Sat, Nov 25 Louisiana-Monroe at Monroe, Louisiana 6 p.m. But I think we must have different ideas of big-time win, SMU was a "must win" not a big-time win in my book.
  16. This one is better! One thing missing from today's papers. There was no word on Patrick Cobbs clearing waivers and being re-signed to the practice squad. In this case no news probably means he did clear waivers. Expect the papers to have something on this in the next day or two. Dookie Meet Ducey
  17. Steelers' Week One impressions Pretty Negative, don't read if you don't need to be pi$$ed off. On Sept. 1 when the Steelers acquired Patrick Cobbs - who was cut when Davenport was signed - Cowher said, "We will go with four running backs ... you have to be able to use these guys ... so they aren't going to be (tapped) out by November or December. That was a big key for us (last year) ... particularly if you're a team that runs the football." In the few days Cobbs practiced with the Steelers, he didn't look like a back who belonged in the NFL. The Story Screw those guys, Patrick proved already that he belongs in the NFL he had a great preseason. I hope he ends up in a place that gives Patrick some opportunities to carry the ball.
  18. I was wondering just that. As well advertised I am not a DD or RF fan, but do we have some players rising above their coaching and wining in spite of poor coaching?
  19. I believe at the end of the day Cobbs is a smart guy and I am sure he has something he feels better about in hand.
  20. Zeke, damn man I had green on, what the hell? I can swap it if you want?
  21. One of my people couldn't find it!
  22. Very Exciting! Congratulations!
