I almost think it is bad to bring in coaches from big programs where they have choice of recruits and just need to coach a little. Where as the not so big programs have to work their ass off to get the players to hire level.

don't say weed otherwise the SMUT football team might show up for the game.

i think they have turned their season around, they made adjustments something we seem to be unable to do. I had no idea they were so big. It must have happened when they changed their name from SWTSU to TSU.

Is Beford and his family on this board? I get thumbs down when I say we give coaches a lot of time, look at our basketball coach. What is a thumbs down in that comment. It is true statement.

Well Beford had his best week as head coach this week, to bad we play tomorrow.

if utep fires their coach would we want him here? i watched the end and overtime of Utep on their board and Don Haskins was a great coach. I grew up watching the miners and Haskins always had his team in the game. To watch his team on the floor and watch our team is like night and day. Four of his five starters were out heading into overtime and he beats Arizona on their home court in the NCAA tournament. Great coaching can make a big difference, Hire a great coach not an unproven coach. The PIT should be rocking. It is funny the big seat guys who sit on the floor their seats are mostly vacant. I bought a reserved seat for one of the games and i sat about four rows up at mid court. I could not believe the seats did not belong to a season ticket holder. Yeah I am all over the place. I just hate to see how the bb team has been run into the ground. You think Mac and Benford say you sucjk , no you suck more!

i think as long as benford we have no chance, i would not be surprised if we lose the rest of our games. I wonder if Benford knows his days are numbered.

I was checking out the UTEP message board, not a word about football or signing day all about basketball. Looks like Floyd maybe out at the end of the year. Wish we were caught up in basketball. We have become pretty bad in all sports and it makes it hard to try and be positive about our future. I don't get what the problem is, well benford can't coach but football. Denton is a great town and UNT is a great school. Denton is a college town, el paso, san antonio not so much. UTEP is like a big high school, go to school and drive home to the parents house or an apartment. I attended UTEP and NTSU and it was like light years in the two. NTSU was challenging and I had a great time on campus and the local area. Back in those days a lot of the kids went home to mommy's home for the weekend. They missed a great time in Denton.

hard to replace our last one, he was really special. hope to see him in the NFL.

Seth started out slow in the speaking to the fans but I think he is progressing very well. Seems a lot more comfortable with the role of HC. What I like the most about him he is a no excuse person.

When does our AD make the announcement we are extending or not extending Benford contract. He is still here after a 0 for January so anything is possible. I guess he does not look into the stands and see the lack of fans at the PIT.

maybe it is time to consider ending the football program and basketball team and focus on women soccer, golf, tennis and chess team. The end is here and the future is not bright. Go Chess club!

do we really need to chalk talk to know what is going to happen. Close or losing by 30 is still a loss. We are 0-January with they many heart breaks would should be in the ICU on life support. We just can't find someone to pull the plug.

future is not looking good according to my eight ball. I so surprised how many kids don't come to denton. Denton is a college town, a lot of fun and with effort a great place to get an education. I think the campus could even be better with an upgraded to the landscaping. TWU does a lot better job with landscaping and landscape maintenance than UNT. I know I will get the -1 on this one but UNT could be a spectacular campus with a little work and teaching the students how us sidewalks. Maybe during orientation they can give a presentation on the use of a sidewalk. When I first came to NTSU I thought wow look at all the green and trees. Then they started tearing up the campus and put the prison yard lights up all around the campus and filled the fountain out front of willis with rocks because the hippies were taking baths in the fountain (what i heard anyway). Just saying even as student I noticed my surroundings.

well you can keep the recruits and keep benford, or lose benford and possibly lose the recruits. Time has shown even with good recruits we can't win with our coach, I say roll the dice.
