  1. I know. My point was that I don't think that Washington State wouldn't take his commitment even if he wanted to commit to them at this point, thus he essentially has no other true scholarship offers other than us.
  2. I don't think that Washington state offer is still committable at this point. I also don't see why he would want to play for Leach anyways.
  3. We signed the full 25 last year. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/school/_/id/249/class/2012
  4. At least Jermaine Antoine is still 3 stars.... for now
  5. For the record, Austin is his cousin and is expected to be just as highly recruited as Jermaine, if not more.
  6. Antoine was a class 2A first team all-state selection this year. http://247sports.com/Player/Jermaine-Antoine-16624/TimelineEvents Nice to get players like this. Should be able to compete from day 1.
  7. Good point. I just see similarities in the sense that all the stars seem to be aligning. In my opinion, with the skills that Berglund adds to our offense I think we should be in every game this year save for Georgia and maybe another road game or two (I.e. Tulsa, Ohio, or La Tech) It's definitely nice having stability at the helm.
  8. After watching him play I want him only for the reason of developing a pipeline to Guyer. We don't have a lot of prep players in this class so I'm not sure who exactly would grayshirt.
  9. Did you guys not learn your lesson from Basketball season? I just can't wait to watch Jimmerson run the ball behind our line, hopefully we get to see that which I think we will. There are plenty of other players that I can't wait to watch play, but I'll save my optimistic predictions for after we win a few games. That being said I really like the way out team is stacking up.
  10. No problem. It's a relatively new rule that I am familiarizing myself with also
  11. This explains it better. http://www.themidnightyell.com/2012/06/breaking-down-numbers-in-class-of-2013.html?m=1#! The player has to enroll before the fall in which they start playing in order to back count.
  12. I think Warner moves to safety personally, but it looks like we have a logjam at defensive back. Hopefully he gets his act together. Regardless of Warner's status, we return both cornerbacks (one of which was 2nd team all conference) and some key back ups. Also we added a juco all-American in James Jones and arguably our top recruit in Chad Davis, both to play cornerback. I think Coach Mac and crew will have a better idea of where they want Antoine after spring practice is over. A lot is set to play out, but Mac said he wanted to add these athlete type players to this class and this is a prime example why. Either way Antoine is a solid pickup.
  13. Yeah, I just don't see him staying there with the guys that we've landed, plus everyone we have coming back, plus Warner back.
  14. Yes thank you! If Mitchell declares then Josh will have a great chance to get some solid minutes. Especially if Coleman stays in the dog house, since he will be our only returning post.
  15. No, that's my point either way. He should count for the 2013 class whether he was on scholarship in fall or not. Vito said that there is an extra scholarship for the 2013 class and he was wondering where it came from. He speculated that maybe he shouldn't have counted Berglund in the 2013 class. If you don't sign the full 25 in any class you can back count your early signees from the next year into that previous class, opening up scholarships for your current class. I was just adding that this could not have been the case with Berglund since our 2012 class was full.
  16. Yes, if they transfer in on scholarship than they count towards the class. Pegram and Terrell will count in this class just like trice and Feldt did last year. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/school/_/id/249/class/2012 This is why I'm confused about where Berglund goes. He can't count in the 2012 class since that class is already full, so he can't back count.
  17. Ha, nice. But I think the fact that they have won every game speaks towards the validity of it. If they were crowned at the end of the regular season than I might say it is mythical, but the fact that they have had to beat the team ranked #1 or #2 every year is the closest way to validate the championships. Bottom line is seven straight wins in bowl games of that magnitude or no fluke. Thank the good lord for the future playoff system, but I think people will always complain that the system is flawed.
  18. Thank you! I guess the mystery continues
  19. Vito was talking about how we have an extra scholarship in this class after all. He thought that maybe he shouldn't have counted Berglund for this 2013, but I'm almost certain that Berglund has to be in the 2013 class since the 2012 class has no room to back count any scholarships. My question regards Christian Hines, the receiver from Corsicana who was supposed to grayshirt last semester along with Andrew Tucker and be part of the 2013 class. I have seen Tucker on campus, so his grayshirt must have gone as planned but I'm not so sure about Hines. Does anyone know if Christian Hines is still with the team? If he isn't then this is where the extra scholarship for this class came from.
  20. It's your opinion if you don't think they are best or if you think they are overrated. It is fact, however, that they have won seven straight national championships.
  21. Redshirt sophomore. If he were a junior he would assuredly take a redshirt year, but don't expect him to stay at QB.
  22. Hey! I'm from there! Great place actually. Beautiful scenery and pretty sweet weather.
