  10. Yeah sorry for the delay this week, we are getting the post game show software ready and working. I believe we will have one up tonight.......but late. We will try to get back to the Monday or Tuesday night schedule next week and keep it that way. Thanks, Evan
  11. This weeks game against ULL will either be on TV or the radio, so after the last breath of George or Hank and before Dave Brubeck starts in with the Piano solo, we will have a one hour live Radio post game show. It will be streaming and will be available straight to your PC or at least to those who agree to help us on this test run. If all goes well we hope to make this a weekly show after away games, where the majority of the fans cannot make the game. The equipment we use for the podcast will be utilized and we will be able to take live phone calls and put them on the air. There is a about a 30 second lag, but I don't think it will be a major issue. We will be limited in the first show to 25 users, but the quality should be pretty good. Once the 25 is filled up, then it won't allow anyone else to log in. If you are interested in taking part in this test, There are a few things you will need to know and do. 1. WinAmp media player This is the small mediaplayer that has to be used for the streaming broadcast. This isn't some fly by night software, and it is used by lots of internet streaming broadcasters. If you don't want to download it, then I'm sorry but we are not capable of utlizing Windows media player...yet Free winamp download 3. Before the game, we will list the web address that you enter into winamp and that will connect you to the stream. It's pretty straight forward..... Saturday beofre the game and during halftime, I will stream the latest podcast at that address, so you can at least see if you can connect and hear something. The live broadcast will start immediately after George and Hank finish 2. During the show if you wold like to call in, you will have to pm me with your number and we can call you as the show progresses. We have to do it that way right now, and don't PM me with the phone number to the local Wienerschnitzel, we will screen before we put you on the air. We are not professionals and are far from it, but Harry and I feel that this is something that fans would like to hear and participate in. There could be some issues, but we are going for it anyway. Please post if you have downloaded it and plan to participate, so we can get a rough headcount. If anyone has any questions or suggestions....fire away Evan
  12. This edition we talk with Brett Vito, beat writer for the Denton Record Chronicle, and we discuss the secondary with former UNT cornerback Greg Mathews www.theflyingworm.com
  13. This week we discuss recruiting with Old Timer and we are honored by the presence of a certain high ranking official in the Athletic Department that has been a fan request since day one. www.theflyingworm.com
  14. sorry for the wait, but we will have one up tonight....Oldtimer the GMG recruiting guru will be our guest.
  15. Ok for those of you wondering, Rob is a former Ulyses Knight Alumni Award winner that started the Mean green club before Rick V came along and absorbed it into the current setup. If you see someone wearing the dark grey Mean Green shirts with the Flying Worm logo on it, chances are they got it from Rob. Back before tailgating was popular, the old mean Green club organized locations and brought the grill and supplies to the away games. For those who were at TTech, LSU or Baylor in 1999 or the home games in 2000 or the wacky start and finish in 2001, you remember the beginning of great tailgating. Here is a video clip of one of the parties in 2001 at the Loophole that Rob organized.......And yes that is Firefighting Rick standing on the table at the bar....some things never change.
  16. Espn projects Fitzgerald to have nearly 3000 yards in receiving this year.......Nice bar graph ESPN Fitzgerald stats
  17. www.theflyingworm.com sorry Rick, I hijacked your picture. Rob??? or Humperdink????
  18. This week we discuss the OU game and preview the SMU game with DRC beat writer Brett Vito. We also visit with Emmitt and get his take on SMU and his prediction. I have received a few messages about the format. A player is embedded in the website, so you do not have to have an Ipod, just play it on the site or download it and play it in your car on a CD or any other MP3 player. Thanks for listening and tell us what you would like to hear, and who you would like to hear from. www.theflyingworm.com
  19. I believe that last year Texas wore white shirts with Beige shorts, white socks and white tennis type shoes.
  20. That was quite a game.... A few ther things from that game 1. They made all of the UNT fans move over one section because we were sitting in a "reserved" section of their empty stadium. Their fans started booing their own stadium staff for making us move. 2. The "swinging" gate was a big part of the winning drive. 3. When the game was over the UNT fans went crazy, I have footage of a very happy Booger skipping towards the fans in the stands, all the players came to the sidelines and then....... 4. They shut off the lights in the Stadium so the celebration wouldn't be seen....... 5. They next day the NMSU game recap by their SID used spellcheck and changed all of the "UNT" references to "NUT", of course he was just bitter having been chased away from UNT a year earlier
  21. Ahh yes...but Rick don't forget to mention the carwash on Eagle Drive. They never gave up on the worm, they have had it displayed proudly on their sign for nearly 30 years....that's respect
  22. Lloyd Noble Center is my vote. That is where the Exes tailgating event is going to be from 2:30-5:00. If I remember right, that is where it has been the last few times. There is really no "great" place to park, it's kinda like UT, wherever you park you are going to have to walk. They do have shuttles and the do drop you off pretty close, and at least you will park with other NT fans. The first time I went there to see the great "Toby Gowin Punting Fiasco", we parked closer and in the LDS student center parking lot, but closer to the stadium it is a mess...take the shuttle
  23. Smitty, you right behind Harry? Tony, excellent work on the chart, very nice..I think I'll print it up and use it as a guide so when I see people making fools of themselves, I'll at least be able to identify them.
