  1. These seats are really pretty good. I have 125 row 9 6-8 and row 10 6-8. Several in my group. Looking at their seating chart they are on section over from the visitors section. I can handle the 40 yard line any day on an away game. Does that mean we have 125-128 for the fans students and band?
  2. This week we discuss the starting QB decision as well as other players looking to start with Firefightn Rick and DRC beat writer Brett Vito Theflyingworm.com
  3. I know that over the years people have taken pictures at home and away games that they have on ther PC's. Well dig them out and see if the MG nation can identify them. Fairly easy one here
  4. If that's bugging you that bad, then you have more time on your hands than me... The logo is the first screen shot of the promotional video that is a few years old, but that is just to show you a sample, so I could really care less if they used Simon's old "photo" eagle logo if they wanted....well maybe not that one.. The lag is pretty low, I thought it was well worth the price. I thought it would be a very low quality, high school one angle view, but they actually show different angles, fan shots and a few replays depending on the opponent, location and what their video capabilities are. Most of the site stuff is run by the outsourced company that does the technical parts of the feeds called XOS sports, they do most of the Sunbelt, and a lot of other schools, here is the link for the schools XOS partners link If we play one of these schools chances are the game will be available live on the site
  5. Rain or not, I'll take the high of 77 any day, especiallly the first game.....UT was a little warm last year
  6. TGAMC-----------"Atta Boy Luther!!!!" TP-----------------"Birdy num-nums, Birdy num-nums"
  7. Most of the radio sites have their live feed, buut sometimes they are out of slots and you can't get in. If you subscribe to Meangreensports.com, you can view most of the games live and hear the radio play by play. If it is an away game, you have to listen to the other teams play by play.....Akron was painful to watch and listen to last year, their play by play guys were horrible and the KNTU live feed was off by 10 seconds, so it was a tough combo
  8. Nothing could be worse than LSU, first 3 rows from endzone to endzone...Try getting anything going as a group when you are spread that thin, that far......I can still hear it....tiger bait....tiger bait.....tiger bait
  9. I think the player's comp. tickets are the first 10 to 15 rows.
  10. looking forward to it Smitty!!! Smitty did the podcast logo for us and it is one of the best looking podcast logos on iTunes!
  11. First of all I can see both sides of the situation, but I do think there was a little tongue and cheek to Tim's editorial. Believe it or not, I don't think that Tim really believes he gave Rick the idea about hiring Dodge. That is the key point here. It was in his blog and is meant as an editorial. This was not a major "published article" as some have posted. I do agree with others that Tim is a great Alum and covered NT well when he was here, before moving up in the Belo tree. We have been lucky as fans to have had the unusually high level of access in the past. Dickey with all of his faults was very fan friendly when it came to access. We always seemed to complain that there was never enough coverage in the papers about NT. And as I remember last week people were throwing a fit that parents were allowed in but not fans or reporters, and we were turning away big donors. If Dodge wants to close practice, that's his decision, I'm fine with it. Some will fine with it, others won't be, but it's his call...... Harry and I will have Brett Vito on the Podcast tonight and I'm sure it will be discussed.... but hopefully more football than anything else. ........shameless Podcast plug I know
  12. I'm pretty sure all of the advertising is coordinated throgh XoS . I'm not sure if the school gets a cut or it is just part of the deal the school has with them. They run sites for lot's of schools and professional teams, that is why we get to watch games at other schools. If you go to their site you will see the same adds. Here is the partner site list. http://www.nmnathletics.com/SportSelect.db...CRIBER_CONTENT=
  13. Section E row 24 1-4, and 25 1-4
  14. Typically we have never really recruited a PK. J Ball was a walk on that was given a scholarship.....or was that Bazaldua.....
  15. Evan

    Why?

I think it is the official Mike Bugar commemorative sideline shirt
  16. ....the season can't get here soon enough.....sheesh
  17. The pod was down a short period, it is back up at both places now. Sorry about the buzz in the background, we are working on that. Thanks again Mitch
  18. We couldn't get a signal last summer during two-a-days. I do have a verizon wireless aircard and it will work close to anywhere and pretty fast, but that might be your only option. In case anyone was wondering, I did try this site with the Iphone, and it works beautifully. It would be nice if they did have Wi-Fi at Fouts, you could make live posts from the game. I'd be willing to bet there is Wi-Fi in Norman at the game, and gulp...........at Ford Stadium too.
  19. Last year my son was 3 years old and he loved going down on the field at half time to line up to have the players go by and touch his hand. That alone is worth it. The shirts are always a little big for that age, but my son loves to wear them. The kids bounce house, face painting etc. before the games are fun for too. During basketball season they have a bounce house set up inside the super pit and usually some mini basketball hoops. We had some friends with their son come to a game with us last year and they are UT alums and big Horns fans. They have already asked to come to a game this year because they had such a good time, although their 3 yr old son keeps talking about the "Mean Gween".
  20. We have had this controversy before....... But I don't seem to remember the SPCA getting all up in arms over the Oregon State vs. North Texas shirts that were extremely cruel but very popluar. The seemed to be trying to instigate students to "Shave" the OSU's poor mascot the Beaver......... Being a young impressionable student at the time I for one tried to do just that....and let me tell you I couldn't stop at just one.........To this day I can't look at one without thinking about it.......... Remember we don't want shirts like "Sink Navy" to drive behavior.
  21. This is probably not for any particular game, but was probably given to outgoing seniors. This is the brand the Athletic Department uses for the MGC donors balls. They are based in Texas and I doubt that TJ ever saw this ball with the mispelling.......... Having said that, for those who remember TJ, in practices he made plenty of circus catches and he had good hands, but he sat out with injuries more than he played.....good kid. I was happy to see him finally get some playing time his senior year
  22. I've had mine for about 6 years. They are about 3 designs ago......They told me that i would get new ones this year, but I've kind of become attached to this old crappy design
  23. Actually there is quite a bit going on downtown besides the Victory area. The Arts district is right in the middle of a building boom. The Mercantile transformation is another. Now granted a lot of it is residential.
  24. Don't forget to blame Mary Kay cosmetics......... Remember their threat to move their yearly convention elsewhere if Dallas raised any hotel taxes, helped drive a nail in the coffin for a new Stadium in Dallas...... Fair Park could have been a great draw with all of the Museums, exhibit space, etc.....It's a shame
  25. You know we saw your post, and we were trying to figure out what you were talking about. Only when we actually went back and listened did we actually realize that we said Body Armor instead of Under Armour and neither of us corrected ourselves. I guess when we did this at a Starbuck's in Denton, there were more "distractions" coming in and out for coffee then we thought.........
