    Interesting that Starr initiated the independent investigation only to be caught up in this and demoted? Seeing the report I would think he would of fired AB. Conspiracy... Their group of 17 thought letting Starr go would silence the nay Sayers! Backfire!

    It has really become 0 tolerance for a program to survive. Guilty or not kick them off the team. You have HS in Texas kicking kids off teams because there is alcohol in the background of their Facebook post. It is a privilege to play for a University and the scholly can be taken away really for ANY reason. Just do it!!

    To c the future of a program look at recruiting. Herman has done great. A&M not so much. Baylor will go this year with exsiting coaches. If it really bad look for them to impose sanctions on themselves! Title 9 can present some huge legal and funding issues.

    You r right. 7-5 would do. This is the last chance at UT and A&M . If they both stink they will b bidding for him. A&M has the tougher road with the schedule!

    Thanks for the info. I would think with the success he has had at one of the most under funded D1's he deserves a sit down! ULM raised almost $3m, wow!

    This is a great point. Look at the recruiting and you can see the future of the program. In Mcs case most the key players were not his recruits! The length of the renew was 1 yr to long.

    Geeez! RV pay was ranked 77 out of all Div 1 AD. He's ranked 2nd in comp in G5 Texas schools at 300k behind UH at 500k! The money and opportunity is there. If they leave in 3 yrs because of success great! Haters hate!

    Looks great! I like the guys that have very limited resources, but make it work! I also like the La Tech AD.

    From compensation stand point in 2013 RV was ranked 77 at $300,000 a year. Show to be ahead of La Tech, Fresno, Marshall, Colo St to name a few. On G5's in Texas only UH pays more at over 500k. The compensation will be their to attract a top notch candidate. Someone coming from a P5 with all the money in the world would not be attractive to me. I think a fundraiser and getting butts in the seats would be key. Given he knows how to hire and if they fail be able to bail without a big payoff. (short term extensions) GMG

    Compared to the other C-USA athletic departments we have the top or near the top in facilities. Ahhhh UNT should have advanced facilities after all it is called a college education. He lost he job for one main reason W/L record. Looking forward to the new hire! GMG

    Not so much La Tech. AD wants a good payday but also very important is the increased budget. The new AD will have to worry very little about raising $ for facilities, except baseball. The AD at La Tech is 37.
