is that the alumni side fills up before the team hits the field. The student side looks great and they have done their part but it's embarrassing that people are still filing in even after kick-off. C'mon folks. How great for the team to see both sides filled when they come on the field.

Wonder if that allotment counts player tickets, too? I would think player tickets would sit in the same area? Obviously, we're new to this stuff!!

University of Oklahoma used to cancel classes the next Monday when OU beat Texas. Perhaps UNT students could have an excused absence on Friday after the game IF they present their ticket stub at the next class meeting?

Absolutely love most everything the Green Brigade does EXCEPT the slow "Fly Like An Eagle" particularly when something big has happened. I don't remember the exciting play that had just happened but the band went into the slow, monotonous "fight?" song and it just killed the moment. We all dropped our heads like we were sleeping. BORING!!!! Do something else, PLEASE!!!!

Just for the record, and give me a chance to complain, something needs to be done about the counter staff in the ticket office. Went to pick up my season tickets, a group of four students were waiting at the counter (no one behind the counter) and another group of students waiting behind them. Someone was in the office (on the computer but we were visible through the window) and someone else texting on his cell phone at the other end. It took a while before someone else came out of the offices to start helping people. They asked the person on the computer to come out and help; then the one on his cell phone quit texting and got busy too. Not very good customer service; I can understand why students don't bother. Just glad I have my tickets and don't have to darken those doors again. Rant over.

Hate the Fly Like An Eagle as well. Love the way GB plays it, but for a football "fight" song...really? With such a prominent music department, can't someone come up with something more suitable? Make it a class project. Or a contest. Something. Their halftime shows are awesome. Now add pre-game!

They did at the MTSU game two years ago

Actually going back to the house at lunch to pick up our panchos before making the 250 mile trip to Denton this evening after work. Been to every home game the last few years - and loved the MTSU game in the rain!

So sitting him behind Cyril was a better decision than developing him into a "D1 DT" ? Not only for the kids sake, but for the team? I get that it's do or die for coaches, but this particular instance escapes me. I'll end it there. So you tell me--how'd we get so thin at DT?

Thompson at 6' 4", 316 is a DT; moved to OL because "he's not a D1 DT.". Really?

Enjoyed seeing him kiss his family at every Mean Green march last year. Hope he sees more playing time this year!

There are bad fans everywhere; believe me, I've seen the bad side of UT fans and it's just as ugly. We can leave it at that.

This is exactly why the student section should be full. Go to the game free and get on national TV -- college student dream.

There are just over a dozen players on the roster NOT from the state of Texas; I think games like this are a big deal to them. Family and friends all over the country can tune in and watch who could never make it to Denton. It is their football game after all.

Still think students will show up. Chance to get rowdy on national TV and it's free. That's not to say the Athletic Department shouldn't pull out all the stops to ensure a full stadium, though!

I expect students will still show up for the ESPN game if for no other reason than it's the only game in town that night. No one going home for the weekend or to some other event. however, I agree with PP who said it will be tough to get the alumni side full especially after the horrible game yesterday. We are still making the trek but not nearly as excited about it as we were yesterday before kick-off

I didn't review the game notes for this game, but know for a fact that the game notes for the LSU game listed under DO NOT USE not to use Eagles, North Texas State and even UNT. Can't say AD is to blame here.
