I admit I listen to them all. I think each are unique in their own way.

    1) The Green Room - Colin and Matthew have such great chemistry. They are both young, hungry and a fun listen. They also have a super star guest line up. Wren Baker called in live to one of their shows. How do you top that?

    2) Mean Green Show - Sanoe is the best interviewer in the bunch in my opinion. Used to have the best hair but he sold out and got it cut. He also does a great job of bringing in rivals as well to get other team/fan basis’ perspectives.

    3) Mean Green Nation - Aldo (football) and Greg (basketball) are the best in the business in breaking down film and doing game previews and reviews.

    4) Gomeangreen - @Harry is a mix between Oprah and Joe Rogan when it comes to moderating a podcast. @GMG24 should be on a college campus getting paid to evaluate talent. He is second to none when it comes to scouting incoming guys. The JD guy says amazing and absolutely way too much.

Good take.  I enjoy them all as well.  We are blessed to have them all covering the program.

  2. North Texas LB Larry Nixon pays visit to Auburn

After hauling in four key players from the transfer portal over the last two weeks, Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze mentioned that he would like to add another linebacker before the 2023 season begins.

He may be well on his way to making that dream a reality, as one of the top defensive players has recently paid a visit to campus.

Larry Nixon, the second-leading tackler for North Texas during the 2022 season, visited Auburn on Thursday and is expected to stay until Friday according to a report by Christian Clemente of Auburn Undercover.

  3. This is mine from the other thread:

Well I started out at Navarro junior college and flunked out and my parents made me come home and attend a community college where I finally got my act together and improved my GPA while working a part time job moving furniture.  I heard about North Texas from a friend of my sister and figured I ought to give it a shot as I was running out of classes I could take towards my major at the community college.  Anyhow, I ended up applying and getting accepted and the rest is history.  I moved into West and stayed there until end of my junior year and moved to an apartment in cement city.

  4. One of the best receiving tight ends in college football last year for Arkansas State, Traore caught 50 passes for 655 yards and 4 TDs on the way to first-team all-conference honors. The 6-foot-4, 223-pound London native posted an 89.6 PFF receiving grade last season, which ranked fourth among tight ends and seventh among all FBS pass catchers. Traore currently ranks as the No. 8 overall available player in the 247Sports transfer rankings with a rating of 91.

Since Traore reentered the transfer portal on April 30, he’s remained a popular name for schools in need of pass catching help. Traore has posted offers from Illinois, Oregon, Western Kentucky, Miami, Purdue, North Texas, Washington State and Arkansas

I was as prepared for college as Pompeii was for lava. No goals, no study habits, no direction, just a lot of no's. I just turned 80 last month and if I had  one ''do over" in life it would be to have signed up for the draft after my high school graduation in 1961. Viet Nam was not hot, I would have gotten some structure and discipline in my life , and been eligible for the GI Bill. Having said that I did pretty well in life in spite of myself.

Really enjoy reading your posts on here and your honesty.  Proud to have you as a fellow alum.

I think that Holgorson will benefit greatly from Rice moving to the American Athletic Conference.  It seems to be that he hasn't quite been able to get the talent that he needs to be competitive in CUSA.  Rice has the prestige and the money to be competitive in what is considered a higher conference.  If Holgorson is not the man then I believe they'll pour enough money into the program to be competitive. They are a too old and storied program to fund a cellar-dweller.

Agree.  I think with the right coach they could be powerhouses.  I wonder if Tom Herman may not consider coming back.

it has nothing to do with my feelings...just that most (well...apparently most) have adapted their language in the last 20 years to recognize that some terms commonly held as acceptable, in jest or otherwise, 20 years ago are no longer so.

Huggins, on air, used a slur...twice...and in such a way where it sounded very casual and probably a part of his everyday vernacular. I'm not calling for his firing, but if he is fired he only has himself to blame.

    Agree 100%
