We have no idea, because they're not giving us any info. I'd imagine it's not great though.
How can it be transparent, in terms of payments made, if you are giving different amounts to different players? Explain to me how that works? We are not SMU. They are paying 100 players at a minimum $30k a year or whatnot.

Yawn. I didn't know anyone still reads Texas Football. Too predictable.
Agreed. It used to be so good. The magazine of course was the bible for us fans. Now it’s a freaking joke. No one reads that rag anymore.

I know the NIL and ladies softball choking has been a bummer. But I honestly can say I’ve never been so excited about a football season in my life!

I’m still deeply saddened about losing these guys. Just sucks!

Amid the latest push for college football expansion and conference realignment, it was thought that ACC teams would stay put because of the league's air-tight grant of rights agreement that doesn't expire until 2036, but now some schools could be looking for a way out, according to a report from SI insider Ross Dellenger.
Seven current ACC members — Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina, Miami, NC State, Virginia, and Virginia Tech — have met in private to determine how unbreakable the conference's current agreement really is.
With all the movement taking place around the country, those schools appear to be of the opinion that they can get a better deal somewhere else, with Dellenger revealing that the schools believe their membership in the ACC to be "an untenable situation."

Good move for several reasons including the Houston roots.
Yes the Houston connection is always big. Has anyone else in Houston lately noticed all the UNT billboards and the new marketing campaign? Much better than anything I have seen them do in the past. Impressed.

I respect him for making the team, but this guy was always a big time practice player. When the lights go on he will become what he has always been. My prediction is he will not make the team I am sad to say.

Can anyone help identify this former player?
Before blurting out an answer, please read the notes below:
1. This photo appears to be a part of the pre-game senior introductions at the final home game of the season against Arkansas State in 2003.
2. I suspect this is Hiram Gonzalez (it is certainly not Dominique Mackey).
3. In 2003, however, Hiram Gonzalez was listed as a sophomore on the roster. Why would he be running out with the seniors?
Anyone have any info?
Definitely Gonzalez!

Based on Morris' track record, if we don't see improved QB play this season, I'll be very worried. I feel like that was one of the biggest reasons we brought him here, well that and he's actually won something of meaning in his coaching career (even if it's just FCS, it's more than Littrell can say).
Listen to me. We can't base anything on Morris' track record at a lower level school like UIW. This is the AAC! This is a conference that had a member in the 4 team playoff. I get tired of everyone saying well they lost Houston and UCF etc. Good programs but so is Tulane.
It boils down to this, we never won the C-USA in football. Now is that due to Littrell's incompetence or just the historical struggles of the program itself? I really do believe Littrell was an absolute bust but others like @Brett Vito think we should have kept him here forever. We will find out soon enough but to think we could be in the upper half of this conference with all the portal defections and no QB is pretty wishful thinking.

If the ACC wants them, they could easily poach then from the American, too. Again, no advantage to taking them now.
I think you have to lock them into at least a 4-5 deal but you won’t be able to do much more than that as everyone wants to move up.

They are a natural fit geographically and their budget would be at the very top. If we are serious about being a major conference player shouldn’t we consider them even with their warts? Judy is licking her lips on what they are going to do for C-USA this season. Why not poach them?
