It was all Hayden Fry's fault. He vowed that he would never coach at a college that didn't have "University" at the beginning of the college's name.
The more I learn about this man the more I realize how much damage he did to our University. Him demanding we leave the Missouri Valley was the icing on the cake. We would be a P5 now had we stayed the course.

I hope for God sake that we didn't promise him the job if he transfers. Right now, Jace looks the best and deserves to be the starter. I hope they don't give the job to a guy just because he transferred or because he was once recruited by the HC. You give the job to the guy who has performed the best and that as of now is Jace Ruder.
Jace has looked better for sure but lets tap the brakes on starting job.

What the heck has happened to Gunnell since the days he was a 4* from TAPPS, and played some his first two years under Sumlin at AZ? Overrated? Achilles changed him? Burnout?
I don't see Rogers transferring without being told it's his job to lose... But I'm encouraged by Ruder and Stone.
He still has the talent, he just needs help with his footwork. Seth not having a QB coach after Tate left certainly didn’t help in Grant’s development. Let’s be patient.

Not sure there could be a bigger sell out…. This is disgusting. 🤮
I agree. He should just stay here. We care about him more.

Traylor is simultaneously tempering expectations in the new conference and backhandedly fund raising.

Crunching the numbers... The cost to rent out 1611 Golf on a Saturday for 3 hours (10 am-1 pm) is $1,750. Included is all 8 Trackman hitting bays with 4 golfers per bay. This would allow for a 32 player, single-round tournament. If I can land a corporate sponsor to cover the cost for the rental bays in exchange for online and in-person exposure, 100% of the entry fees would go to the LTTC NIL.
Big questions is, what is the right entry fee price point to lock-in 32 players while still being able to donate a good chunk of change to the LTTC NIL? Entry fee of $125? (32 players x $125 = $4000) Curious to hear the board's thoughts.
Timing wise, I'm thinking Saturday August 26th, one week before we kickoff the season vs Cal.
Count me and a friend in!

Yes, but suggesting their facilities had something to do with them being left behind is not accurate. Their facilities are would easily fit in the AAC.
I agree that they are > Belch level but not AAC or they would be at the bottom tier of AAC.

Looks like a one time commit to Okie State. Found this from last year (site called sblive)
Stanley will be one of the emerging top players to watch in the state in the coming years. A power forward and center, Stanley has already committed to Oklahoma State. In her team's district title win against Rejoice Christian, Stanley scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Against Inola in January, she had 23 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks.
Great find!

Moderators feel free to move this if necessary, but I felt compelled to post this. This girl just committed to UNT soccer and when I read her post on twitter announcing it, I am not going to lie, her excitement and pride about becoming an eagle, well it just made my heart soar. I think this type of message gets lost in all this NIL crap and whatnot. This is to me what supporting UNT athletics is all about. The football and basketball programs are what drive the opportunities for other sports like soccer to succeed.

I was really impressed with his knowledge on the broadcasts and he seems like a very smart young man. Would love to see him coaching here.

Who are our biggest future AAC rivals?

Our new AAC conference foe, Tulane just finished 9th in the nation last season and upset USC in the NY6 Cotton Bowl. Back-to-back years have shown us there is a path to playing in a NY6 bowl. We just have to win.
I agree, the AAC is the best conference I think UNT has ever been in. I know some may argue the Missouri Valley but to me there is still no comparison as the Missouri V did not have SMU who is likely our biggest rival in football next to UTSA.

I am an optimist, I believe we will be 9-4 with a bowl win. GMG
Just interested, which conf games do you see us winning to get to that record? For the record I hope like heck you are right as that record may win the entire conference or at least tie.

I think UTSA with Frank Harris in his 10th year will still be tough. I am going with 7-4 as I think we will edge Cal and beat Tulsa, Temple and Navy on the road.
