  1. I never once thought about not giving to MY university after 5 years of losses to the Mean Green. In fact, I have given more each year. You guys are in a helluva recruiting state, and will be back at the top in no time. Please continue giving to UNT Athletics, from an MT fan.
  2. Hope you win the rest.......... We broke the curse, but do NOT hang your heads. It was our time to win. Just think how we felt all of those 5 years. The series is NOT even.
  3. We had an Okie fan call in last week. Number is 1-866-RAIDERS I will be at the show at a local establishment called BluesBoro.
  4. Thanks in advance. The Rick Stockstill Show is on Wednesday, and you can listen at the following link from 7pm until 8pm: Rick Stockstill Radio Show, Wednesday from 7-8 pm Central Time Zone

  7. Count me out as one who wanted North Texas to win the game. I always root for my team and my coach, no matter our record. I always go to the game expecting to win......even against Oklahoma. I was very disappointed postgame last year...... The beef brisket by SoundMan was the highlight of the Day!!
  8. Wonderful idea, guys. Hope it works out. We need something similar in Murfreesboro. The 'Boro across from MT's field would be a perfect location for a sportsbar supporting MT, but right now it's kind of "ratty". Not even sure if they even support our athletics program.
  9. Troy and MT already play the last game, in the Battle for the Palladium. Luckily, we have Troy at home in Murfreesboro this year. The Blue Raider Zone, MT's Message Board
  10. Give 'em hell, Emmitt and FFRick!! I'm headed to Maryland tomorrow. Wishing the Mean Green best of luck!
  11. Why such a gloomy MT vs. Maryland prediction? We've lost 5 total games by 30 or more since 1-A (Florida twice, Arkansas, Miss. State in first 1-A game, and unfortunately NMSU). I think MT within 14 vs. the Terps. I'll be there in College Park, cheering MY team on, win or lose.
  12. It's not near as nice as it looks in person. Made that trip 2 years ageaux. Stadium needs a lot of work, although they do have a beer garden (one of our fans stayed there the entire game). We had more folks tailgating there than Akron fans. They did have Otis Day & the Knights performing on stage.

  14. North Texas Preview Let us know what you think, guys. Thanks! Feel free to delete this MG61...........since you posted as well-- thanks

  16. Hell, if it'll help us win ballgames, I'm for wearing anything.
  17. Actually, our women's bball coach is friends with Phil Knight of Nike, and (thanks to him) we will be moving all of our sports to Nike, eventually (after prior contracts run out). Reebock just wasn't getting it done against the Mean Green (-;
  18. I have a poll on the MT message board entitled "What is the most intimidating Sun Belt Football Venue?" and the Cajun fans are voting over there. I voted for North Texas, by the way. What is your Sun Belt home record? I would think that would mean something. Here is the link to the poll: Most Intimidating SBC Football Venue
  19. We have a similar, I think, area across from our football stadium. I think several of your folks have had some postgame victory parties over there. I wish they'd bulldoze the entire thing and put in something nice. Anyone ever been to U. of Arizona and seen the nice shops and trendy restaurants they have bordering their campus? We too, need a reason for students to stay on campus and not head to Nashville. Our city had doubled in size in the last 15 years or so, and we still have the same old dive bars near the campus.
  20. Hell, you ought to like MT. Ya'll whip our arses every single year. What would you do without MT on the schedule?
  21. Maybe we can get off the snide, attendance-wise in the next few years, with home games against Maryland, Virginia, Memphis, and Georgia Tech. We play 2 in Atlanta, one in the 'Boro. Maybe we can upset the Jackets and then lose to North Texas once again (-; The Blue Raider Zone Georgia Tech vs. MT-3 game series
  22. Bingo. Word here in Nashville is that we may sign another veteran QB to come in. If McNair would take a cut in pay, he'd remain a Titan. But looks like he's gonna go out like Eddie George (I bet George wishes he would have taken a paycut now--one and done in Dallas). Make no mistake, Bud Adams brought VY here. I'm just glad the Titans didn't pick up Jay Cutler.
  23. From "Ask the Commish" on the SBC Official Site: May first, 2006, Ask the Commish T.J.: With Louisiana - Monroe joining the conference next year in baseball are the other nine schools still going to be in also. Are any other schools joining? Commissioner Waters: TJ, ULM and FAU will take the league to 11 and the later addition of UNT will put us at 12. Now, let me tell you that any time you start playing a double elimination tournament with more than 8 teams, it is no longer a tournament, it is marathon. So if we go to a format in the future that is more inclusive than eight teams, it will probably look something like the NCAA format over two weekends.
