  1. Good post Patrick and right on the money. I believe he is already making steps to make the right play by sliding in some situations and running out of bounds at others. He will be a good leader and I believe the injuries will become fewer. This will happen because of better recognition and maturity on his part. GMG
  2. There is more than one Todd Dodge? .......What?
  3. Great news indeed! An awesome day for the MEAN GREEN faithful. It is a good day to spread your wings and caw like there is no tomorrow! GMG
  4. I left with another gentleman with about 5 mins left. He had to head home and was driving. We walked out to the parking lot a gentleman in a chair asked what the score was? He was clearly only there for tailgating. He had no radio or anything. If we could get half of those folks in the stadium, it would boost attendance a bit. It was almost as though he didn't even know a game was going on. Interesting to say the least. GMG
  5. Hello! Cement City brings people far and wide to our fine and fair city. How quickly we forget. GMG
  6. This qb is our future. Put him in there and give him the experience he needs. It will reward the team in the long run. Don't see how you can compare Romo and Riley Dodge. Two different classifications and at two different points in their careers. I am on board with Riley and think he and Coach will do great things with this bunch. Go Mean Green
  7. Many of you are ridiculous. You obviously don't remember how in a state of disrepair the program was when he came. It takes a good 3-4 years to turn a moriband(sp) program around. Let us not be like the world an have a knee jerk response. Let us go back to times past and show a little patience like your grandfather would have. I am not happy we are not winning as well. If you look at the big picture, we're light years from where we were a year ago. Just be patient and we will be rewarded. Big things are coming soon. GMG
  8. Am I just crazy or is Dodge loading this program for broke in 2010? Me likes what me sees. Oh yes, me likes what he sees indeed! GMG
  9. There must be some upside there if he is getting playing time as a freshman. GMG
  10. I would not worry about our crowd totals. I believe they will continually rise. The area is only growing with a larger fan base to draw from. I agree winning will only help the totals. I also agree the vision should have been for a 40 plus attendance on the new stadium. Hopefully we will sell out the new venue fast and start adding on quickly. How awesome would that be. GMG
  11. I must disagree. The team of the last two years would have laid down awhile back. At least there is some fight in the team. GMG
  12. I predict 20,000 strong, hearty NT fans. GMG
  13. What a poor statement about going to 1aa. We did lose badly, but not like we had before the last two years. We had guys that were in position to make tackles this year. This was not the case last year. We made them work most of the time for their touchdowns. This was unlike the quickstrike posessions the last few years. I believe in two years these games could be competetive. The talent will catch up. I am proud of their effort. I think it will be a fun competetive year. I am real jived about next year, though. Baby steps fellas, baby steps. GMG
  14. That is quite an optimistic statement. I like your fire young man! GMG
  15. I didn't catch the postgame show. How did Dodge sound after the defeat? Did he mention anything about the severity of Kelvin Jackson's injury? GMG
  16. Yes it was a tough night. The interception return, two dropped td passes in the endzone, and failure to pull away more points in the first half in the opponents territory. It had the makings of a runaway with those plays being made. Woulda, shoulda, could of I guess. I thought the defense played well, though. Is there any reason why the defense went to almost a prevent on the last td pass? That did not make sense to me. It seemed we had them on their heels on that drive in a man to man. Give me your thoughts. It is nice to see competetive football again. The team is making nice strides GMG
  17. State of the Art scoreboard over the court would be nice! GMG
  18. I would like him to succeed because he seems like a quality individual with his priorities in focus. It is nice to see a leader of your team you can respect because of the quality of his character. I believe given the time and resources, he will be raise the program the right way. These young men at UNT will get their degrees and will make an impact not only with their team, but in their community. GMG
  19. I totally agree with you emmitt. You would think it would be hard to be full of yourself after one win, but I think you would agree that complacency comes in pretty easily after a bit of success. I am hoping for a big crowd and win as well. That would be sweet would to go into Alabama undefeated. GMG
  20. Sure we can CMJ. You go get the lighter and I the torch. GMG
  21. Sure we can finish it out. We are all about turning this ship around. Let us start at point 1. GMG
  22. Thanks for your reply. 2010 looks very promising so far. We will have Stratford, Cole from Ok St and Herron from Smu. It looks very promising indeed! The hounds will be unleashed in 2010. I still have hopes for a competetive year for 2009 too. GMG
