  1. Gonna be a long year for the women. I think the future will be bright, though. GMG
  2. How do you know the difference between good coaching and bad? I am just curious. Are you a former coach that would know how to evaluate the differences? If you do, than I would need a bit more information than to say it was good or bad. Your thoughts? GMG
  3. They had a piece on Dodge staying at UNT at 6 pm with George Riba interviewing Todd Dodge and other players. It was a nice piece and realistic. We are all rooting for the Mean Green and Dodge. I am hoping we turn the corner in the new year. GMG
  4. I believe Dodge, staff and team will have a good year next year. GMG
  5. I totally disagree. The following year always brings a new found optimism. Next year with some of the transfers and new recruits will bring the same. GMG
  6. Why are you all so sure he is gone? Do some have insight into the program at a higher level? I would like to know your thoughts. GMG
  7. I still think he has a yr to right the ship. What do I know, though. We shall see. GMG
  8. I still think he has a yr to right the ship. What do I know, though. We shall see. GMG
  9. You can't blame Obama. Haven't you noticed that no one jokes about Obama! I mean no one.
  10. I agree. We pretty much got Emmitt's take on the situation again and again in different ways. GMG
  11. Patience doesn't have a time limit on it. That is why it is called patience.
  12. What games were you watching? We were out of many games by the first quarter or half the last two years before this year. GMG
  13. It has been a good spell since we sniffed winning, but I really believe our program is ready to turn the corner. We are on the verge of doing just that. We have found ourselves competetive in most of the games. Next comes learning how to win. The jackpot will come next year and beyond. I know patience is a lost art in the world these days due to people wanting instant gratification. I also know that once we start winning these painful times will be a sweet reminder of what the players and fanbase went through to get there. Pain must many times be felt before better times come. I am glad to see that this is building perserverance in the players and fanbase. I just hope we support the team and coaches who work so hard each week for our proud U. We will be ready for winning and thankful for the tough times. Make us proud this Saturday boys and fight until the end. Good times are on the way. GMG
  14. Am I alone in thinking Mangrum should be in the starting lineup? I like our other shooting guards size and makeup. I just think Mangrum gives more offense than the others including Thompson who is struggling. Anyone else just think it is a matter of time? Your thoughts? GMG
  15. He has been talking about devastating losses this season. They haven't sniffed devestating losses until this year. I think that is an honest term he throws out because it means alot to him. Would you rather he cared less? I still think next year is the turning pt. Year four was the turning pt for Dickey. It could be for him as well. One more year is I think what he will get. GMG
  16. I think he will be given one more chance. Gmg I still am rooting for him and the University for great things.
  17. Can we just stick to rooting on the team for the final week? Let's let the AD make the football decisions and stop this fire the coach talk. It is a bit unsettling to me. You wouldn't like it if someone started an email campaign at your job to fire you. Have a bit of respect. GMG
  18. You must give a coach four years. Give Dodge his time here and we will see what happens next year. I believe we are on the cusp of great things. GMG
  19. I agree wholeheartedy. Top notch post. Great things are coming. They are coming most assuredly! Support the boys and their efforts each week on the field! GMG
  20. Fans are generally fickle to the core. I understand the desire to want the best for our team. We seem to forget that we were out of most if not all the games by halftime or even the first quarter last year. We have been competetive in 7 games this year that have went down to the wire. I sure would have liked to have won a few of those, but that is not what has transpired. You have to remember where we were and where we are going. There is no moratorium(sp) on patience. We may have to be a bit more patient than we probably wanted to be. I think next year will be the spring board to learning how to win. I believe many of the mistakes being made will not be made due to being a year older. Let us support the team and be thankful for a hard working team that played hard until the bitter end. Great things will come with patient endurance. Gmg
  21. Nothing wrong with toasting the opponents after a win. Called being good sports. Jk. GMG
