  1. This would be a lot of fun for those involved! He did something kind of similar at the recruiting meeting where he opened it up for questions to those in attendance.
  2. You could have an annual "Green Out" game similar to Texas A&M, and this year it could happen to be Navy. I definitely like the T-shirt idea.
  3. It was definitely 79-1. In the highest and best classification of football in the state that plays the best high school football in the nation!
  4. Practices appear to be extremely crisp and structured! 'Dodgeball' goes way beyond going 79-1 in Texas 5A football, though that is an example of the end result of the whole thing.
  5. Glad to have you on here Coach Archie! I've coached with a former member (R.G.) of Dickey's staff and is now in the High School ranks and speaks highly of you. It's nice to see guys like you who have played and coached at North Texas getting behind the program and rooting the football program on. I think the potential of this program is great, and its nice to see former members of the Mean Green football family come on board and totally support that. Shoot, now instead of worrying about halftime adjustments, you can head to the letterman's lounge!
  6. Dodge and his staff on the sidelines will wear opposite colors of the team, and he will not wear a visor. He will wear a baseball hat. Never seen him wear a visor in over 10 years. He will open with a simple pass play, and I would expect alot of that early in the game to establish some tempo and gain some confidence by having a series of small successes.
  7. Lewis is a good one! he already looks good in Green.

  9. The big WR's, Roberson & King should be outstanding "pro style" wideouts, that we have not had at NT in a long time. Evan Walker reminds me of a guy named Wes Welker from TT a few years back. Dodge said A.J. Penson was the best defensive player he played against while at SLC in 80 games! I really like Hager, he's a football player. Sleepers are Lewis & Mosley. Don't forget about Evan Fentriss transferring either. He was a mighty good one at SLC.
  10. Todd Willis says Tre Newton is the best RB in next year's class in the state???? hmmmm.....don't think so. Top 100 players , yes, top RB...nope! I don't know of the DMN has the best guy possible answering those questions
  11. Foles is an outstanding quarterback, and a courageous young man. He speaks of playing in the state championship game by saying that at one point he threw a ball and his whole right side went numb from neck down, due to the fact he played that game with a torn labrum. He will definitely get picked up by someone. I doubt Texas, because of Colt, Sherrod Harris, and they are signing Gatorade National High School POY in John Brantley. Could definitely see him at somewhere like Baylor, TCU, etc. Has a plus arm, and a smooth delivery, and moves rather well for a big kid. Doubt he would fit the "spread" though as he seems to be more of a guy who excels at straight dropback and play action stuff. I would love to see him in Denton, however, I doubt he feels it is a good fit, with the amount of QB's returning, Vizza coming in, and the lingering possibility of Riley singing next year.
  12. This is more than likely just a down payment by the Goldfields. Dr. Bataille has been out campaigning across the country and has received good feedback, especially after the hiring of TD. The Goldfields and many other wealthy boosters are finally being contacted by University personnel, and as you can see, NT is reaping the benefits.
