  1. Faking a medical redshirt. That's a new low on here. Glad you're in the know about how "mild" the concussion was.
  2. my bad and apologies...post deleted
  3. Best post of the week and it's only Wednesday.
  4. I predict yes, we can, especially since it's highly likely many WNBA players have prostates.
  5. I miss the guy with the silly hat, Smitty. Please return him.
  6. Not according to this: http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...;ATCLID=1504229
  7. without knowing what our team will (exactly) be like in 2011, I'm for a competitive but winnable game that will draw some away fans. SMU would be perfect, but right now it's off the table. maybe some things will change. I like any service academy, maybe a rematch with Navy. We have Army in 2010 but it doesn't pick up again for several years. Those schools or Air Force make for a cool home games because they value road games as opportunities to showcase what they're about. Maybe another Texas team like UTEP or Houston, though not sure how many fans the latter could bring. Or we use the chance to get an FCS team (Texas State?) in here and christen the place with a win. Or might that game end up the "1" in a 2-for-1 with some team that gives us a bag of cash? Man, I'd hate that.
  8. Oh, so he "had" it but let UNT tell him when he could break news? Interesting spin there. Go ahead and stick with that.
  9. God that track is ugly. Make it go away! My eyes! My eyes!
  10. Damn, so relieved this is done. Must say, it wasn't that close, but for the other guys to get 2,000 votes...well, that surprises me they pulled together that much support in such a short time. That facebook page looked like a wasteland for a long time.
  11. Soon, it'll all be over one way or another. http://www.star-telegram.com/college_sport...ory/969568.html
  12. I'm intrigued by the possibility of these two guys panning out at the same time. Still think Roberson is just green and needs time. Rucker is really going to help us one of these days. Just wish it was now, but you always do when you're losing.
  13. Boy, still on that? Since I don't get the NT Daily down here in Star-Telly land (nor do I surf it), it was still interesting to me. He gave credit to the radio and the Daily, so what's the big beef here you guys can't get over?
  14. Wonder if Dodge has seen/heard it.
  15. You see the kind of snooty element (at least at the NT Daily) we're dealing with here when they call the football team "inconsequential." Wonder what it's like to have the world by the ass as a high school football player, then play for the only college in Texas where your student peers basically view you as socially inferior, despite your best efforts to represent their school. UNT: Where Football Is Subhuman.
  16. Menard has played the last 2 games; he backs up Hollivay now. You don't get 15 yards for false start or holding. I think both of Hollivay's were false starts (5 yards).
  17. So, if I count correctly, we're looking at a six-receiver rotation today: the four starters plus Breece or Rod Johnson and Alex Lott. Dunbar could make seven, but he's really a running back. After that it's Dickerson and four guys who've never played. Man, I'm getting a migraine.
  18. Oh please, what great sacrifice have you made? Are you being forced to watch bad football? Show up for mandatory 6:30 a.m. meetings? Personally get your ass kicked around by Rice? You're a FAN. You get to choose if you let it get to you; they don't. Good for you, you didn't quit. How I marvel at your bravery. Gimme a break; the fan experience/misery does not equate to that of the players.
  19. Nwigwe started the Tulsa game. It's on the NCAA participation report, which has to be accurate. I guess they could doctor it, but why bother? He'd just be listed among the backups, and it wouldn't matter. He led the team in tackles that game. Methinks you are incorrect.
  20. Is this right? "UNT essentially gave up 28 points on special teams after Rice took advantage of the Mean Green's mistakes." Rice scored two TDs off special teams fumbles=14 points. Other fumble was in the fourth quarter when they sat on the ball, even in our red zone. No other TDs off special teams that I can remember or find. Not that it exactly matters.
  21. Asshole post of the week so far. Unnecessary, unwarranted.
