  1. It was a dig at the original poster who shotguns posts on this board because the UAB boards are obviously not trafficked enough to keep him busy. Look at the man's post count for crying out loud. We've only been in the same conference for 4 seasons.
  2. UAB "Who?" "Who?" "What? The quitters came back?" "Who?" "Aren"t they the Flamers or something?" "Who?"
  3. UTSA also has several more players than both LaTech and us.
  4. Do we have any to give that can't be used in a future recruiting class?
  5. But Smith couldn't complete a pass or run the ball without fumbling, surely you don't dislike Vizza THAT much to lump him in with one of the worst starting QBs we've had.
  6. http://csnbbs.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=388 go shotgun posts at the UAB site.
  7. But who had more offers? Out of high school who was rated higher? I assure you if Cade were to transfer out and play 2 years of juco, he'd be rated above what Isadore was. Was Smith really a starter though? He only got handed the reigns in a last ditch effort by Chico to get the HC job because he knew mini and Greer weren't gonna get it done and he refused to consider Shanbour as a real option other than assistant qb coach. Smith wasn't even good enough to stay on the roster when the new sheriff got to town.
  8. How dare a true freshman struggle with the transition from 3a Oklahoma ball to FBS level ball 3-4 months removed from high school. No time in a college strength program, 3 months to learn the playbook and the timing. Nah, that couldn't have anything to do with it. He was was on the freshman all-CUSA team but let's put him in the scrap heap because he isn't 6'5" and hasn't spent time putting numbers up against juco JAGs or riding the pine at other 4yr schools. Sounds like he has the traits that made quarterbacks appealing to McCarney. (height)
  9. Cam Newton was a 5 star recruit out of high school. Cam Newton won the backup job to Heisman-winner Tim Tebow as a true freshman. Cam Newton was kicked out of Florida for theft. Cam Newton would have never stepped foot in a junior college if he hadn't been thrown out of Florida, so in that regard I guess yea juco worked out for Cam Newton.
  10. Physical specimen doesn't mean jack if you can't hit the open receivers and take care of the football. Damarcus Smith was a physical specimen with higher rankings and stats than Isadore and he was awful.
  11. So essentially we are his fallback option. He wants Baylor and doesn't seem interested in us other than that we are his only FBS offer. Not promising.
  12. Maybe he wants to go be with Lovie too. Honestly I would rather have Jaxon Gibbs
  13. Yes and no. HOF didn't get it done during his tenure but once Todge was hired, Muzzy continued to workout with the team in the hopes of getting that redshirt because of his injury season. I know this because I had him in a class and would ask him about the new regime. I was real excited about it t the time. I was lucky enough to have classes with Muzzy, Hopovac, and Blake Burress while at NT. I'd see other players around campus or on the shuttle bus. They always seemed flattered that someone would recognize them from the team and I'd ask them about things. I was one of those rare students that cared enough to go to some of the road games.
  14. Yes it is the same coach as 2014 when Thrilly D played his last regular season game as a college football player before being banished to Iowan Siberia.
  15. Maybe like Greer, Demarcus Smith, and Brent Osborn, he just wasn't as good as they hoped.
  16. I thought it was on the coaches to secure a medical redshirt? That's what I thought happened with Zach Muzzy that Todge couldn't or wouldn't get it approved.
  17. I'm interested in knowing who the speed of our quarterbacks in order. is Fine faster than Shanbour? Is isadore faster than Fine? Does O'Hara have track speed? Could someone close to the program like @Brett Vito or @TheReal_jayD let us know?
  18. Quinn has been in this offense for two more semesters than Isadore. Shanbour battled Morris for the job last spring and then Fine battled him for it in the fall. O'Hara will be graduating after this season.
  19. If he checks all the boxes and is the "savior" at quarterback (like every other juco qb we've had), then why did he have to settle for a walk-on offer at a G5 school? Best of luck to the kid but I'm pulling for our two scholarship quarterbacks that aren't true freshmen.
