  1. 4 malls! That's should secure a spot in the conference.
  2. Welcome back to the Big XII (11, 10, or whatever it is). You should finish middle of the pack for years to come.
  3. Wonder if you get free foot surgery with the purchase of some UA cleats?
  4. Serious question, is it the culture, or the state putting limitations on the amount of our athletic fee and how it could be spent?
  5. The people out here in West Texas drive to Lubbock during the season. This was a way to bring the team to the fans, and allow the university to bring alums together which leads to donations. Some of you are in such a negative state of mind that you want to turn anything remotely positive into a negative. Worried about attendance, then invite every single coach from the Dallas ISD and the surrounding communities and leave the doors open for fans. Anybody that comes that doesn't normally make the drive to Denton for the games might become interested. This is the main problem with NT. We say we want to be a big boy, we talk about how cool it is that 60,000 show up for Alabama's or Nebraska's spring game and then we won't make the effort to travel less than a mile. It is about exposure.
  6. Appears to be the same young man considering his jersey says Oak Ridge and he is from Oak Ridge, TN. http://www.kilgore.edu/basketball_team.html
  7. Well, all I can say is this is one good reason for Romney not getting elected.
  8. Maybe a room of eleven would be more effective than the caravan or a fan board. http://untsystem.edu/regents/profiles.htm
  9. True, but 7,000 showed up and there is big money in Midland.
  10. Saw that on ESPN. Brought a tear to my eyes. Nothing short of awesome.
  11. Thanks SE. Sounds like McNulty could be another, probably faster, Scott Hall type. DT is a thinner model of last year's version. Will have bouts of looking good and bouts of looking bad which can probably be attributed to mechanical issues (Come on Coach Chico!). And it sounds like BB has been reading the headlines and needs a little attitude adjustment.
  12. I will respond to each statement: 1. Yes, it is important with an 18 year old. He likes to see his name written up, check with the school's website or fanboard to get reaction from his visit, etc... He's 18. I think the AD staff keeps an eye on the board, but it is not near as important to them as it is to an 18 year old hoping to go somewhere he is wanted. 2. Not even close to being a conflicting statement. I would consider the question inane at best. 3. So you "don't believe in taking up their valuable time" but have no problem taking up our's with the constant bombardment of negativety? Interesting train of thought considering they are the one's that have the ability to facilitate change. UNTnewbie hits the nail on the head.
  13. Not sure why this posted twice. Please delete one of these.
  14. Texas Tech had their Saturday practice/scrimmage in Midland to accomodate the alumni in the area, increase interest and work the pockets of the alumni banking $$$ in the Permian Basin oil fields. I hope we get to a point and can take a practice down to Dallas or north to one of the smaller communities. http://www.mywesttexas.com/top_stories/article_ca0fd056-9f17-11e2-bae3-0019bb2963f4.html
  15. No but repeating the same thing over and over is just tiresome. Go beat on RV's door or go to the next board meeting and rant and rave, anything but hijacking every thread on here. You even chose to hijack a thread about a young man that is a potential recruit. Ever stop to think that maybe he or his parents stopped by to see what we had to say? I am sure they were reassured by reading your rant.
  16. What an ass whippin'. Why don't you hitch your wagon to some other team if all you can do is bitch about our teams, our coaches, our athletic department, the administration, the BOR, our conference affiliation, etc..?
