  1. Great. Didn't realize he was a criminal and had to get his term commuted. Or, is he just going to commute from Fort Worth every day. That would be a beating considering the never ending construction around 820 and then north on 35 past Western Center.
  2. And good enough to beat UTSA.
  3. Watching a Benford coached team could hinder our recruiting efforts.
  4. Williams is not rated and does not show any interest from any schools. Something is going on here. Are grades an issue? Still doesn't explain his lack of a rating from the recruiting sites.
  5. How do these kids not have offers?
  6. 1. I would celebrate. 2. Not even close. 3. Who you gonna blame for dragging you and your RV comments in to this thread?
  7. Welcome to UNT Mason. You made a great decision and we are looking forward to many years of success under your leadership.
  8. This^^^. After Mac decided to change his recruiting philosophy and wait and go after players after the season, it immediately put us behind everyone. Littrell and staff are having to live with this poor decision. And they had mostly 2 star recruits in the classes following these season too.
  9. He accepted a scholarship. If Tanner Sheppers is as good a QB as he is a relief pitcher, then I am all for him. Surprised he had HS eligibility left and chose to go to Canadian. That is way up in the panhandle.
  10. Some of the recent players that have had trouble, including one listed above, played when steroids were readily available and heavily used. I would be very comfortable stating that the use of these drugs lead to some of the mental issues. Of course, nome of these players ever tested positive so bringing this up and saying it contributed to so and so's medical condition would be slander, so I won't name names.
  11. Extremely productive HS player that is also high character. Like this signing but hope we go after one more, preferably Brewer, Debiase or Shafer, in that order.
  12. That's one lost and one that will not sign on February 3rd. Get your facts straight A-Whip.
  13. Thanks. I was curious, since you seem to know him, if his parents were vertically challenged. Heck of a player. I would love to see him at UNT, but I think I would also go after Brewer, Debiase and Shafer to secure a second QB just in case.
  14. Sometimes these young men like a place similar in size to home. Tulsa is a very small school tucked away in Tulsa, OK. UNT, on the other hand, is one of the largest schools in the state, the largest employer in Denton, close to all the opportunities a metropolitan market can offer. Sometimes staying small is what they want and some want the limelight. Guess we will see which scenario fits Mr. Johnson's style.
  15. Thank you for the run down of his skills, but why do you think he isn't going to get any taller. Many young men do not stop growing until their early 20's.
  16. I saw that also and looked up Littrell's stats at OU. He was listed as 5'10" so I would guess Fine is closing in on 6'. Someone mentioned Fine is a more refined QB than Shafer out of Canadian. Please expand.
  17. I will trust Littrell and Harrell, but this young man played 3A ball in OK. I think I would take a shot at Shafer from Canadian, bigger frame and probably faced better competition. Either way, it will be interesting to see who we sign and how they develop in the next year or two. Really curious about Brewer from Corpus. He has to know Harrell since he was a WSU commit. Great film on him. I would like to see Brewer and Shafer in our class.
  18. Burns never said he hated the recruiting game. He said OSU had everything he wanted so that is where he was going. I think Harrell knew this and moved along. We will sign a HS QB this class. The position is too important to our future and the coaches know that. I would look at Debiase, Brewer and the young man from Canadian.
  19. I will agree, believe it or not, with 90 and those complaining about this. If this was an isolated incident, then it would be easy to dismiss with a chuckle. The problem is that this has become the norm and there does not appear to be any type of accountability for these mistakes. It looks bad and reflects a lazy culture in the department.
  20. I bet some of you open your first Christmas gift and get all moapy and don't even look for the Red Rider BB gun tucked behind the bookcase. Patience is a virtue.
  21. Hey Vito, ask him who else is here on their OV.
