I can't believe what I am reading here. Why in gods name is RV interviewing with a rival school newspaper during recruiting? His comments clearly seem to downgrade UNT as opposed to Lafayette. Give me a break. "Rick just loves us" makes me want to puke. The fact that he is complaining to a writer for a school looking for an AD speaks volumes. He should be out raising money like he promised when he was hired.

You guys are crazy. Our 2003 team with andrew and booger would have killed the 2005 usm team. You guys are so jaded.

I was happy for ASU but it really hurt not being in the bowl tonight darnit. We could have beat this version of USM with any of our last 3 teams. 2005 was a dark year that I hope won't be repeated.

I guess I didn't make my point very well but the point I missed was that there are a ton of good players here and we have a natural ability to recruit the dfw area because of our location. Does anyone think this program can be a powerhouse without success in DFW? I think we should have 70 to 80% from DFW. The other thing on attendance is we will get a lot more than 10 people for each player. I would hazard a guess we could get 50 or more for star players in the area maybe even more. Our entire focus should be how we can make ourselves more attractive to dfw area players.

First off I don't have a roster handy but does anyone know what percent of our roster is comprised of DFW players?? I believe we should have 70 percent of our roster from DFW for us to meet our attendance goals?

I hear that Wooden is dominating inside in practice. Next year will be huge. We have never had this much size inside as Wooden qQuincy Muse and Howerton. The player I get excited about is Mangrum. Jonny has always been a good recruiter but I will be watching his coaching this year very closely.

If you look at how many starters we return we should be a better team next season. What positions do we need to improve? In my opinion it is in order dline, oline, and qb. If we improve in these areas I think we could have a winning season.

You should raise this at RVs next quarterly report. Very good points.

What I take from this letter is what a jewel we have in Bobby Ray. Bobby Ray has been a godsend for this program and there is not a bigger fan. The guy bleeds green and truly cares. I trust that he will give DD whatever he needs to get things on track.

I love the fact Pegram had the courage to come right out and say that he wanted to coach here. He has a lot of enthusiasm and would be a good recruiter. I would think he would be a nice replacement for Bell.

If you look at the Mean Green front lines I'm not sure it does. How did we get so small up front and why aren't we recruiting more size? Does size really make a difference? Booger wasn't big and neither was Chris McIver. They were damn good players.

This is response to NT 80 no I am not happy with how things are going right now but I am not ready to press the eject button either. Programs will be down from time to time. It happens get over it. I predict Dickey will finish out his career here so get used to it.

If we were to fire dickey after winning 4 consecutive conference championships we would be ridiculed throughout the country. Noone and I repeat noone worth a damn would be interested in this job because it would be a revolving door. If you have a losing season you're fired at north texas. Plus who is going to pay dickey the millions that we owe him from RV extending his contract 4ever. Too many of our fans have cadillac taste with a yugo budget. Come on back to reality, the water is fine!
