I think we've come long way. 4 bowls, 4 conference chamionships. New athletic center and more facilities being built. This is probably the biggest period of atheltic facilities being built in our history. I also like the continuity of our Head football coach as love him or hate him Dickey has been here awhile. We have had the most proactive board of regents and president towards athletics that I can recall. I think it has been a good 10 years. What should we shoot for in the next 10. Stadium, more non conference wins and perhaps a new conference? I'd also like to see our attendance for football go up 10k and I believe it can, especially with a new stadium. I also would like to see more corporate sponsorships and naming rights in the next 10 years.

Good to hear that but when you lose your starting quarterback and top defensive tackle it makes you wonder if there is any attention being given them. Your right tho its up to the kids to get it done.

I was thing about it and losing Byerly was huge I think it really hurt the confidence. Then you have tj raymond lost, the guy was the heart of the defense. Then issac thomas goes down with a severe illness. Sean Early lost to a knee. Allan harrison doesn't make his grades. This program has been in a funk since Drew passed away. We had a lot of bad luck. I also think that the academic advisors responsible for getting these guys what they need to pass should do better too

I think its quite plausible for dickey to get the job. His dad was well thought of. Dickey is young, he's barely 40 and has a track record of building a strong program from the ground up. He's a good recruiter and has strong ties in texas. Dickey has the reputation as a players coach and I believe you need that at k-state. They don't get the cream of the crop recruits and have to bring in jucos to compete. I think this season will be overshadowed by what dickey accomplished in the last 4.

tulane will never drop football that is a joke. Reading this article it appears to me that RV is breaking Dickey's bawls just a little. As proud as I am about girls soccer it doesn't compare crap to what d1 football brings in terms of exposure. A nationally televised game is worth millions in advertising. Hedlund could never bring that to the table because of the sport he coaches.

Ba humbug. There is plenty of pride at unt and it is growing. I will say this, if we could ever develop the relationships with local dfw programs the talent will not be an issue. I think dickey is making inroads but more work needs to be done. The new facilities have been huge this past year and will continue to be.

Any word on who the new President of unt is going to be? Will Jackson take over both roles?
