8 yrs out of 9 in the bottom decile in offense. If you were a mutual fund manager you would've been fired 6yrs ago. You are done ramon and dickey. The student fan base looks to finally be strong and we've lost all momentum created by the SMU win. We are NOT COMPETITIVE...NOT COMPETITIVE....I just spent $22 to watch this...next week I'll spend even more to drive my family up for homecoming. Call me a quitter, but after being a season ticket holder for 13 years...I'm tired of looking like a high school team. We don't make adjustments at halftime...ask the Tulsa staff. I'm so pissed off right now. Gig em aggies...oh wait...crap football is rough.

That's the best sports bar in the city in my opinion...very well organized. I'll be a the house w/ friends and family coming over to watch the game. I'll definitely be there for the televised game in Oct.

it's not just losing...it's getting blown out that bothers people. Not looking competitive bothers people. There was no emotion from the team on Saturday...no jumping around, no high fives, no helmet slapping. On the road you only have yourselves to get you fired up. I'm tired of looking hopeless on against people we compete with for the same exact recruits.

I hope you are right! I just feel like we needed the Tulsa game more than Akron for recruiting...but right now I need any win.

I've owned part of a restaurant in the Woodlands before...go talk to some local owners on how much it costs to run. Our burger/pizza place was $400k to start, and we didn't have enough start up cash to go further than 2yrs. Not enough in the budget to advertise either. I was in volved in 2 Quiznos as well...about $250-$350k to start up..and that is a sandwich shop. Not trying to piss on your parade, because I would love to see something like that when I come up for games. It may not cost that much in Denton, but places like that cost alot in Houston. When you are talking construction, equipment, taxes, licenses, & a million other things, it gets really expensive. If you go to a bank you'll have to put up a sh*t load of collateral and personally guarantee the loan...I've seen it bankrupt people. I hope you can get some $ together and can maybe even buy an established place that went tits up...might be able to save a ton of dough. Good luck. Ed

great job Island. Cut and past that and send to RV...and add that we are bored to death.... I bet our rushing totals were more than 100yds as well...so we put up a higher total avg because we were balanced. I'm so sick of the excuses 'we take what the defense gives us'..'we weren't prepared for this or that'...it's your jobs fellas. Use your imaginations...that is how you make a name for yourself in this world. It's like being a salesman and the only thing you can do is take orders.

Illuvius...I see where you are going w/ those numbers but we were also beating inferior teams that let us pound them into submission by relentlessly stickiing w/ the run. Many of those games were alot closer than they should have been. Against better or equal talent we are no match being so one dementional. Just like the wishbone...nobody runs it anymore..if you get behind you're hosed. DD talking about sat. was going to be a good game, and they come out and get outcoached in a big way just like last year. Saying to the press that you got outcoached is becoming a b.s. cliche by coaches now. Trying to get the heat off the players...in our case it's true. The players on offense either aren't prepared or just forced to run the same crap...all because our coaches look like they belong at DUKE!

tulsa did the same exact thing to us last year. They made adjustments at halftime and killed us. They have a much better staff and everyone knows it. Considering their coach last year mentioned he was surprised that we didn't make any adjustments at halftime...just shows you what we are dealing with.

I loved the clarity of the tulsa game...not happy I threw my mouse at the monitor...no damage which is good. Is Akron showing the game as well?

the offense takes a step back to the 1940's when he is in the game...every pass is a hail mary joke. keep wilson in to get a f(**(*n' rythm....our line, our running game....god bless..sh*t...this sucks.

we are just tying to cover the damn spread. I'm so pissed at the play calling. we're not trying to win...trying not to get embarrassed.....damnit....i'm so pissed off right now...no imagination in this offense

I spoke w/ an nfl scout yesterday and asked him that question. He said that he may only run around a 4.6 on grass and that could be troublesome. Said someone will give him a free agent shot if he's not drafted, and unt players have done pretty well recently going that route.

outstanding piece...really shows what a coach has to deal w/ when he has a great athlete under center. It's a fine line keeping the game under control and playing street ball. Hopefully getting a nice mix will keep defenses guessing and get us some more wins.

keep in mind w/ the students standing it looks alot fuller than the alums who sit...sitting exposes holes...
