  1. Speakin of College Football Teams that need to be rebuilt, I know one here in Denton, Texas that could use a complete overhaul.
  2. Im really not all that suprised that Goldfield and others decided to change their minds. We having been talking about this and other issues for years. Has anyone seen any progress? Remember Goldfield was the one who wanted to write a check to support and fund a new baseball team and stadium. There is something going on behind the scenes that is causing friction and not allowing plans become a reality. Remember Dr. Pohl was run off campus by his peers because he was Pro- Athletic and they wanted to replace our beloved president with someone who wasnt so much into athletics. Well all I am going to say is they got their wish. ( Inside sources )
  3. Yes they are out and they look really good. The AD department took the most exciting thing about this upcoming football season and put in the background of the new schedules. They have the new stadium in the background with the schedule of teams we shall play. I saw it at Eagle Images in the Union
  4. Actually saw this advertised in the Lifestyles of Denton County, a mailer that is sent to people all over the county. Check out their website.....www.dentonlifestyles.com So open a one-year CD and realtionship account at Meridian Texas bank before Aug 31, 2009 and your rate can increase up to 145 basis points (BPS). 10 bps points per victory during the 12 regular season games 25 bps for the bowl game victory. Also they are doing the same promo in smallprint for TCU football games as well. Also in small print it goes on to say this product is not endorsed by wither TCU or UNT. ha...ha... Seems like the people at Meridian Bank Texas have a safe bet that not alot of people will be earning much on their one-year CD. Im a North Texas fan true and true but with my money I think I would open the TCU account if I wanted to see gains in my account. Wonder if anyone will take them up on their promotion should be interesting to see.
  5. That is why I left it at just the announcer, I couldnt tell who's voice that was, my bet was George Dunham....But I know he doesnt live in Denton so I didnt see him coming up He also said in the end that if we had the crowd that we had last night that UNT would win alot more football games. According to the DRC there was over 50,000 people around Fouts Field last night.
  6. Yes people were cheering and applauding what the announcer said which was " We needed a new stadium anyways " Believe it or not the residents of Denton are not fond of Fouts Field. They have a DISD Stadium which is alot nicer. BURN BABY BURN!!!!!
  7. After the performance of the Denton Fireworks Show, which was the best ever. Two small fires started on the student section of the stadium and burned for a couple of minutes. The announcer said that the fire department was made aware of the situation and I saw a couple of firefighters rush up and douse the flames. The announcer then goes on to say that WE NEED A NEW STADIUM ANYWAYS, to the crowds cheers and applause. Always thought the best chance for Fouts to go out of commission was something catching on fire during the fireworks show. Also a side note: Did anyone catch that massive grass fire that was north of Denton, me and some friends came back from shooting fireworks in Sanger at around midnight, when we saw this quarter mile fire close to the factory stores north of Denton. This thing was huge and wasnt the least bit contained.
  8. And also dont forget the conference mates don't provide for much excitement for Saturday home games.
  9. http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/...04.75ab0ed.html Its at the Rafes Urban Observatory near campus....I would go but will be too busy popping fireworks into the air.
  10. Im going to have to one up ya Rick and post this Martina McBride favorite that is the most appropriate for this holiday. Enjoy......Favorite time of the year : Fireworks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYENO6r5vVo
  11. This is a very interesting article, who would have thought the first place AL WEST Rangers was basically broke. Tom Hicks is an idiot. Also herad Jerry Jones was in major financial trouble as well. You would have thought the Rangers success in the AL West, energized enthusiasm of fans, and the huge spike in attendance at the Ballpark would have helped. Especially since merchandise sales have been very well with the teams success. Nolan Ryan and David McDavid are in the running to buy the team heard that about two months ago.
  12. We don't care for Quitters and the family of Quitters at UNT.
  13. Man I always get so horny (super excited- non sexually) in this case, LOL, when I see the word conference and then these teams below it: NORTH TEXAS SMU TULANE RICE TULSA UTEP HOUSTON All in the same conference, please make this happen GOD, please!!!!!! I don't care who the coach of our team is, when the new stadium will be built or if it will ever be built, what type of hotel we have, damn, I just dont want to see us playing FIU, FAU, Western Kentucky, and MTSU anymore.
  14. I completely retract any humor or posting this article for luaghs after reading what you posted CBL, this must be a updated article on the incident. This appears to be a serious issue in regards to the TABC actions that night in regards to what happened that night. I pray that the person recovers fully from his injuries and anyone involved in using excessive force is reprimanded by their superiors. No matter if someone is gay or staright they are still human beings and americans who have full rights bestowed upon them by our government. Thousands of people each day are drunk and make asses out of themselves in public places and are placed in jail for these actions. This person did not in any way deserved to be in the hospital because of the actions that occured at that bar. If anyone has any updated news on this incident, investigation and this guys condition please post it
  15. Nobody can replace Michael Jackson ever. He gave out over 300 million dollars of his own fortune to charity and holds a guiness world book record for being involved in more charities than anyone else, I believe it is 29 or 39. The best ambassador the United States has ever had across the globe. He was pure gold and fans loved him worldwide.
  16. Not suprised. it would be a good move..... Most importantly where would that put us.
  17. This was a hillarious article and I really couldn't stop laughing...... Enjoy.... Man what were some of the guys or shall I say sissy's thinking when they tried to sexually harrass the police officers, craziness. The police ended up making 7 arrests, damn. http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/...ar.3d86a6d.html
  18. Whats weird is I watched Billy Mays as a guest on the Conan O' Brien show thurs night I believe promoting his new show, the pitchmen, crazy.
  19. I am really glad you set this up NT03, great thread My favorite is Black and White, never forgot that performance at Super Bowl 27 with the Cowboys smashing up the Bills. Also the video has a very young and very hot Tyra Banks in the end of the video. Alot of other songs are great too, like Billie Jean, Bad, Beat It, and You are not alone. I still cant believe he is dies so young, profound lose for music.
  20. Man what is going on. I can't believe how many celebrities died in the last couple of days. The Sham-wow guy is probably locking himself in a closet, that guy has a crazy lifestyle.
  21. This is the best post on this thread. It has been proven to be true that these people were con artists and they were after Michael Jacksons money and to damage his reputation. He was not a pedophile. He was a humanitarian and that is how he is being remembered around the world.
  22. I actually thought of Michael Jackson as the best singer, dancer and entertainer we will ever see. My all time favorite performer, I am so saddened byhis shocking death. I am actually still in shock especially since he was going to have his comeback tour. He had a very rough life going up and entertaining his fans and served as a pop icon and an ambassador of the United States to the entire world. Wow his impact on the music industry is profound and he has the most loyal fans. He will be missed.
