its a deal, rudy.... i think this season was so so stressful because of the texas loss, that alot of people just couldnt wait that we had accomplished what we intended to do.

SUMG, i think you have your facts wrong, 1. hurricane ivan hit the texas coast, as a restrengthen storm. 2. i have not missed a home game in years. i never ever said that i would not attend any home game for any reason... im always the one on this board who talks about attendance and bringin people out to our games, as far as N.O. its going to be a last minute, with work and all. im still helpin my friends plan for their trips to the big easy, (i.e. hotel and student promos) 3. i said that i would rather play a regional opponent, since we were deprived of that this year and next year. 4. for me gettin pissed because we might draw cincy, shouldnt be brought up and explained in detail on every single post i place. everyone on this board should care less, and most do, everyone has their opinion. to attack me or justify me as a bad fan and erase the fact of how many athletic events and pep rallies i attend is even worst. To everyone that has noticed, there are only three people that bring up same topics about me or has a vendetta against me, and those are Unt_lifer, SUMG, and firefightinrick... next time try to think a little harder before you make stuff up, it doesnt help your credibility on the board when you do that. by the way, about your last statement, was that supposed to be a cut down or somethin, or are you just tryin to do a cheap plug-in for a chain of franchise cleaners that operate in the lake cities area.

hey punk, since you seem to not know what the difference is between vandalism and school tradition and fan support. i will explain it to ya... Fan support is when the AD comes by the student side of the field minutes before the game is over to encourage students to keep up our traditions and get us all wild up. Chargin the field after winning our conference is what we have done fours years in a row... If any sort of vandalism had occured that night, the dozens and dozens of police officers and dogs, would have done something about it, wouldnt they?thats what they are there for... did you just recently start attending UNT, if you did what community college do you hail from.

i dont in any way shape or form, follow our opposition (i.e. cincy), i could care less, how they or anyone in CUSA does this year, im followin CUSA to see who are opponent will be...thats for sure alot of people in the denton area will not be able to attend the game in n.o. for alot of reasons, going to n.o. is still up in the air for me, so i have to look at my work schedule to make a definite decision but by all means you guys, i applaud each and every fan that sacfrices, there school, work, family, and career to go to N.O. or any other unt road game this season., kudos

rudy, i did not go to the ULM game until after half-time cause i had to finish up some paper work, but i watch alot of it on t.v. i was intending to come, no matter the score, or the weather situation, which was of course rain, i didnt even go out to party with the rest of my friends, since it was halloween eve and most of the party's were on that night... when i first arrrived at the stadium attendance looked so bad, it looked better on t.v. for some reason. the student section looked the worst.

SUMG, arent you the same guy who said in an earlier post that cincy had a shot at knockin off louisville, uh at louisville... yeah also if you didnt notice, uh several thousand people tore down the goal posts, not just me... kinda thought id throw that out for ya, since you dont know what your talkin about.

I am personally dont want to see us playin Cincy, as does alot of people on this board, even some i bet some of players feel the same way... i would like it alot to play uab, memphis, or even better tcu. its my own personally opinion, as well as the majority of the people on the board. that does not give you the right to go ahead and tell everyone that i am against the athetlic dept and i dont support the football team, ive been followin unt football since i was in junior high, and am a second generation UNT alum. ive done nothin but call people to watch our games in the metroplex to boost our ratings, tailgated in every single home game the last two years and try to attend as many bb-games as possible with my buddies. i also provided helpful and logicial insights to help our team go to the next level. were not too far off. really. Lifer, dont really know what your problem is.... you need to get a LIFE. seriously.

rick, its nothing against the city of new orleans and the bowl and all. i just feel that since we won 4 straight divison 1 conference titles, have the nation's leadin rusher 2 years in a row, and have much improved atheltic programs across the board on our campus that enough is enough. there is some serious problems plaguing our atheltic program from going to the next step. troy is going to get a much more publized entry to a bigger name bowl with one of our true rivals. that is what im mad about, four year straight into the same bowl and our athletic dept jumps straight into nawlins, without ponderin our other possibilities.

Well after hearin cincy is our probable choice, i am bailing out of going to New Orleans, if i want to see a empty stadium game, i'll just keep coming to our SBC games at Fouts.... im going to throw a watching party at my friends apt....

i put that question out there for a reason.... reason being, there is not much hope out there among us, the most die hard of UNT fans for FOuts field to sell-out in its lifetime, before the stadium is going to be built. last i heard, you guys, the stadium scenario is coming quicker than previous thought. the adminsitration is mum for a reason.

alright, $40 for the premium seats at fouts, ( i know what premium seats) or $20 for student section. well im in for purcasin a $20 student seat. considerin we play memphis, which it looks like we will do you think fouts would sell out, and would be over 30,000 fout seats 30,500, (yeah weird i know, those aluminum bleachers are not there for show, lol)

Everyone i have talked to on campus and most alumni are coming to the game for it being our final home game, and also the chance to tear down the goal posts. considering what a rough season we had this year and the remarkable breakthrough of JAMARIO we need this more than ever go mean green

we seriously need to burn down or ransack fouts field, it is the reason for most of our footballs programs problems, everyone i talk to says that all of the other SBC schools have bigger, newer, and more people in their stadiums than we do, i say we do somethin about it, after the game, this saturday TEAR DOWN FOUTS.

tell everyone who know that after the unt win we will take over the field and tear them down, baby we need to get a good attendance corwd this game, so tell evryone you know to come out and take those posts down and parade along north texas boulevard. also wear your beads. go mean green

I really feel sorry for Dickey, it is a good coach to even stay here at UNT, i mean nothing has changed at all at this program, i mean RV and UNT have tried everything, they even propsed the stadium vote a couple of years back and it failed, health center and Rec center passed with flying colors, i voted for the new stadium, but there werent as many volunteers to help promote it IT is also a shame for players like pruitt, awasom, and J-mo to commit to programs like UNT, especially J-mo who turned down offers from tech, and other big 12 schools to come here, we have a great coachin staff, AD, and school. but times like last night, just really make us feel lucky to have these guys stay at our lackluster program... i think dickey and j-mo are good people who we should always thank for their sacrifices, they could leave this team at any time for bigger offers, i mean who in the world who come to coach a team with attendance average below 15K for the season and no fan support. there offers will soon be in the mail.

people are sayin that low attendance was all due to the fact that our game was the night before halloween, but if im correct all other Div. 1. games were also, i didnt hear of any of them being canceled or any of them throughout the nation havin attendance problems quite like ours. Were there? maybe this is just a DENTON PROBLEM

I made it out to the game after the second quarter, considering that i actually came to the game and showed up. says alot more than the 95 % of our students who didnt show up, and our unt student attendance matched that of ULM students also i have been at every game this year and had been at the parking lot tailgating every game this year, several hours before each game as well getting current and alumni friends to the game, that consists of 8-10 people each game. only me and a friend made it out there sat. night. Dont you ever question me or any other person who showed up to the ULM game saturday night, we finally found out the true fans of the MEAN GREEN saturday night, and our loyal fan base only consisted of a little over 10K, after finding that out, i felt sick the entire night after leaving the game, our program has taken a major blow backwards. I will be bringing over 10 friends to the Idaho game, and to tailgate, because its our last game and we will rip off the goal posts. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL UNT FANS TO DO THE SAME.

ARE WE STILL A DIV. 2 SCHOOL.... drastic measures need to be taken immediately, this is awful, it loooked so bad on t.v., i was at fouts after half time, the t.v. image was better than bein there in person. it looked like two junior high school football teams playin... Rick villareal who were brought here to set up promotions, thats what you did best at southern miss, that is why we fired that sorry jack-ass craig helwig, who caused more damage to unt football than anyone in the history of div. 1A.... we need to get this problem fixed, it not funny anymore...

I made a prediction early this week that the ULM game will be the lowest atttended game, and will kill our average attendance for the year, which is now under 15K, ( NCAA violation, oh you betcha). i predicted 14,800 for the game, boy was i wrong. I was watchin the 1st quarter at home, and saw the entire student section empty, except for the band and more ULM fans than our fans. THis is proof postive that we have a MAJOR ASS problem here at UNT and aint our coach, defense, or our cheerleaders, its very embarrassin attendance. I hope RV, Talons ( which have done a horrible job promotin anythin on campus this year, they also are part of the problem), and NT organizations step things up to help our attendance figures, because if they dont we will SURELY BE MENTIONED ON ESPN SOON AND IT WONT BE FOR JAMARIO IT WILL BE FOR BEING THE ONLY CONFERENCE CHAMPION HAVIN UNDER 15 K FOR THE SEASON Conference usa didnt chose us because our attendance sucks for sports, we have everythin else goin for us. 1. We in the dfw metropex, 5 million strong, largest dfw campus 2. 32,000 + students 3. winnin sports teams 4. great educational status
