  1. Mac's Offense vs. Dickey's Defense I think Dickey's front-7 makes it difficult to move the ball. I think Booger wreaks havoc, as he did v. everyone he played, big school or small school. Then you still have to deal w/ Awasome, Daniels, etc. I do think our receivers could make plays v. Dickey's secondary. Running game wouldn't do a whole lot. Dickey's Offense vs. Mac's Defense Dickey's offense would not be able to do much with this defense. This defense would stop the run, and Quinn couldn't beat us by himself...no other weapons in passing game. The biggest weakness of the bowl year teams...not a threat in the passing game. Prediction Mac 10 Dickey 3 Defensive struggle
  2. I originally said 6-6...I'm thinking conservatively 8-4...could run the table and go 9-3 though
  3. I agree that we have to clean up the picks, as those will hurt us in what could be a close game
  4. I think this Rice team is a little different than you remember... 183 yds/Gm passing (105th) 234 yds/Gm rushing (15th) We better come to stop the run!
  5. Big win, but I'm not going to agree about excusing the turnovers...that has got to be tightened up...especially in the passing game
  6. This season... Recruiting... Fan base... HUGE GAME!
  7. Errant throws like these are why we run so much
  8. Does anyone w/ DirectTV have this station? I called and DirectTV said they did not offer it. I could have sworn that there were people on the board with DirectTV that watched the last game on FSN.
  9. This is one of the best posts I have read in a long time concerning play calling
  10. My favorite segment so far was the very last on the latest episode. This D is something else. I was a student in the early 2000's and believe this D is better than that squad. Turnovers and BIG hits are what seperates them, and that segment really cemented that. Not too sure about the above statement... This year's D is playing well, and I like the big hits, but the Bowl years D was badass...not just pretty good
  11. I actually 100% agree with you I do want to clarify...I'm not talking about extending his contract tomorrow...just an interesting topic I thought.
  12. That was my question... When would you?
  13. I'm not saying to give him one tomorrow, but does he get one in the offseason after 6, 7, 8 wins...a bowl game...a bowl win??? I'm actually comfortable/confident extending him at the end of the season for the job he has already done. I mean look at the difference he has made in this program over the 3 seasons he's been here. It is a positive pitch in recruiting to know the coach is going to be around for a while...and I think it is good for the fan base. Mac has done an incredible job... 1. Defense...hard hitting, tone setters...a far cry from where they were when he got here 2. 10-4 at Apogee...huge for building the fan base 3. Very competitive in out of conference games...no matter who it is...K-St and Georgia 4. Building a deep roster 5. Has a plan and sticks to it...he knows how to build this thing
  14. How big was Orr shutting down the run game? The announcer said once that when the LaTech RB was was taking off his jersey after the game he was going to be looking for Orr...kinda weird reference, but you got the point. Our defense made that RB look very ordinary.
  15. It is awesome to see a new player step up each week. For a long time there has only been a couple players capable of stepping up, now it could any number of guys out there! So excited about this season!!!
  16. ...I have been this nervous...wired...fired up about a NT game this late in the season! Lets just kick this thing off and get started! We win this game, and 8 wins is a distinct possibility.... 5) So. Miss. 6) UTEP 7) UTSA 8) Rice/Tulsa WOW!
  17. And they highlighted the NORTH...TEXAS cheer...LOVED IT!!'
  18. Trice and Lee are the closest thing we have had to Jones and Buckles since the glory days, and we have greatly needed it! ENFORCERS
  19. I completely agree on Lee. He is an enforcer back there, and is always around the ball. Love this kid!
