I agree with Harry for the most part...but see Southern Miss as a win...I agree that it will be a close game, because I don't think we are going to kill anyone, but this is one we win. 7-5 ...BUT...it seems I predict 7-5 every stinking year, and very seldom have I been right

Under...DT is not a consistent enough QB...I don't care what was said during spring ball, I've seen the game day DT for two seasons...inaccurate arm, continues to throw off his back leg, red zone killer AND...before people mention the "good" games he had, that was a bunch of underneath stuff he was given by the other team or screens for the most part AND...before people start to mention "bad play calling" those are the run-first plays you call when you have no confidence in your QB Everyone better hope Burglund can come on in the fall, or there is a good chance we are breaking in a new coach in 2014 which will "likely" mean at leat 2 more mediocre years...UNLESS...we hire another high school coach, then your looking at 6 horrible years

I was just surprised to see so many young rookie coaches that have done NOTHING ranked ahead of several coaches that have won games at this level...too much hype in sports sometimes

I agree w/ you completely about the QB situation, and your point that its not all DT's fault. My point is simply that if DT is the best we have, it won't be good enough to win more than 4 games

I completely agree...if Brock doesn't cut it, he should be held accountable, but I'm ready to guarantee Thompson will not get the job done. See my initial post before referencing his heart, toughness, etc

We will not win 4 games with Thompson as our QB next season, I don't care what kind of spring he had. ESPECIALLY if we are changing to more of a zone read offense. I was hoping that Brock would come out and dominate...he didn't...and if that leaves Thompson as our best option, we are honestly in trouble. It isn't that he is a bad guy, not tough, doesn't bleed green...he just isn't accurate and doesn't possess the arm to be an effective QB. I know some will mention the WRs last season...but in response to that I will mention the HUGE amount of errant throws that were thrown every game that had nothing to do w/ WRs. He is not a runner, not an accurate passer, doesnt have a quick release, and I wouldn't say he has a big arm. My only hope this season is that Brock can win it in fall practice before Idaho comes to town. I am going to, for the first time since I've been watching the Mean Green, come into the season with negative expectations this season if DT is our QB because our offense will continue not to score. FIFTEEN years I've been a homer calling for bowl games, and if DT is our QB it will be the first I will be predicting less than 4 wins...AND the first time EVER I will not be eagerly anticipating the start of the season. If I'm wrong, I wil gladly eat crow...I just don't see that happening w/ DT as our QB...sorry to seem negative...just trying to vent honestly.

Here is my take on all the whining about "Sunbelt 2.0" I don't care that FAU, FIU, MTSU, & WKU are coming because the teams in our division, even in losing Tulsa, are the teams that bring people to the games, and they are games I can go see on the road. I don't care that UTSA is a startup, they are better than playing Monroe, Ark St, Troy, the Cajuns, or any other Belt team to the avg Joe, home and definitely away. Me personally, I enjoyed playing some of those schools, but the most enjoyment I get is when we have 28K and more in the stands...our division, Rice, UTEP, UTSA, LaTech, and now probably SoMiss will bring those people the other teams never could...even in our good days. Stop the whining about the conference and star looking forward to the opportunities this conference, and our division, will provide

Have you ever heard of a league named the NFL? Its this league players play in after they're done playing college football. Even though players are "too old" for college, it is still viewed as the superior league. Sarge was playing on a bad wheel the majority of the season, which explains his down year statistically. He has had offseason surgery and plans on being back to 100% for the fall.

I have heard a lot of people talk about a lack of DL depth, but I think those people fail to recognize we have 8 DL coming off RSs... That also means a full year in the defense, and two offseasons to develop physically. I think we are in MUCH better shape on the d-line. AND...we are doing it the right way through the HS ranks so that our team wont be in the situation it has been the last several years ever again!
