Thanks for the info Euless. I was a kid back then so I stand corrected. That article was very good. I was one of those kids that got involved with soccer. Telmo Franco saw me playing tennis at Nettie Schultz park and had me kick for him and put me on his team. One night the doorbell rang and it was Telmo and Iseed. Mr Franco asked my Dad if he had a job for Iseed and my Dad put him to work as an electrician and of course I worked for Dad as well and got to work with Iseed everyday for a couple of summers in Denton.

When I worked with him back around 1980 I thought he said he was Iranian but I have been wrong so many times I lost count. Iseed is a great guy and deserving of being in our hall of fame.

You know,one of our best kickers for NTSU was Iranian. Who can name him?

He was a fried of my Dads as well as a great NT Alum. He also officiated NFL football with a superbowl in his resume.

Maybe that is my problem. I marched in the Winslow era in 1979 and 80. That is were my traditions began.

You mean a coat like the SMU band wares? Really. The traditions have changed and we can not go back to the 50s and 60s. Fly like an Eagle is our oldest band tradition so leave it alone or we will lose it. The Ohio State band did corp drills and not the 8 to 5 step accept for their Ohio spell out tradition. If we start playing March Gradioso or others that are already being used by other Texas teams it makes us look bad. The band is part of the music school and is a teaching mechanism for students. The Texas marching band is part of the athletic department so there is a big difference in what is going on at the schools. Keep our traditions that we have.
