Did anyone watch or bet on the Derby this year? I took a beating. All of the favorites seemed to be liked by too many people and hadn't raced in a field this big, so I stayed away from them. I ended up betting on Bandini, Greater Good, and Greeley's Galaxy. A lot of good that did me. <_< It was a fabulous race in my eyes. Closing Argument was 3 and 4 wide all the way around the track, yet still had enough in his tank to get up to second. Giacomo's win was sort of ironic. His Sire, I believe, was Holy Bull. Holy Bull was beat by a Zito trained horse in the Derby years back and Giacomo was able to beat 5 Zito horses. Everything comes full circle. I thoroughly enjoyed this race and can't wait for the Preakness in two weeks to see if Giacomo can continue his winnings.

Not to thread jack this but how long does a typical AD last at a school? Is it normal for one to leave after 5 yrs, 10 yrs? I just want to know how long we can "predict" that we will have the great RV.

I was going for WKU, but since they just lost I'm routing for Louisiana because they have the best chance to represent the Sunbelt the best, imo. They also brought a decent amount of fans to the tourney. If FIU wins tonight, they were down at the half when I left, the Pit will be EMPTY tomorrow. I don't want that and we don't need that. So here's to Louisiana kicking some tail and doing the Belt pround in the tournament. ***FIU is a fun team to watch. They look a little out of place, like a bunch of playground kids, but they've got heart and some talent.

I'm relatively new to attending basketball games, but I saw VERY FEW inside center plays. Did we not have an adequate center or what? It was all just dribble around the 3 point line, shot, and tip in the rebound. Finally, in the second half they started driving to the bucket. Although, I only attended two games this year. I enjoyed them greatly and play on doing the season ticket thing next year. Hopefully, we'll be better.

Yes, all students with from Sun Belt schools get in free with a valid id card. For others, it's $75 for the full tournament or $14 per session/$7 for kids.
