So East Germany was just ahead of the times

Keep in mind this will also give schools the opportunity to not renew scholarships if they are able to get transfers to come in. So while it can't be good for players it can also be detrimental.

Looks like UTEP hired Golding from Abilene Christian

More like
NWST: Win
SMU: loss
UAB: more of a loss but could be close
LT: tossup
Mizzou: Loss
Marshall: Tossup
Liberty: Tossup
Rice: more of a tossup since in Houston
USM: Tossup
UTEP: Win
FIU: more of a win but could be a tossup since in Miami
UTSA: more of a loss but could be close since at Apogee
I think 5-7 is realisticI agree, except for Liberty. Freeze is a very good coach and he is probably coaching for a major P5 job after this coming season.

Not sure that Defensive depth chart is accurate based on PB's new scheme and the spring game reps.
PB likes playing 2 LB's and a hybrid DE instead of 3 LB's. If you look back at Baylor games and even Arizona State, expect a lot of multiple fronts and packages. The DB's will also be adjusted to fit the team they are playing. Should be exciting.
I believe (hope) this is something we will see with PB. He will have his base formation(s), but he will adjust based on the opponent and be more willing to make in-game adjustments. I think his willingness to move things around will also help to make it a little harder for other teams to game plan.

I think DJ and Speith are solid choices. Think Sergio Garcia could be a surprise

What's it hurt?
Probably nothing. But at the same point what does it help

Sorry, not a fan of the gimmick of making an offer 3 classes out.

Not sure how this will end, but it sounds there might have been a coordinated attempt to entrap him. Guy might be a major ass, but there is a reason entrapment is illegal and will get cases thrown out. For people that know what their doing it is not hard to get some people to say what you want them to.

I sure the UTEP fans are loving it.
Everything I have heard has been, to say the least, absolute happiness. To say he had fallen out of favor with the fan base in an understatement.

Regardless, Basketball needs that new stadium on the hill. Make it smaller and nicer.
Like the idea of a "smaller" venue. Example - WAC school GCU has a nice 7,00 seat. Bigger is not always better

Oh I agree with that, 100%. I was just trying to make the case that unless you are at a UNC, Duke, Kentucky type place, midmajors and P5s have an equal chance of getting to and advancing in the tourney.
Would be nice to see Gonzaga and U of H in the finals - The Power Conferences would probably demand a restructuring of the tournament 😈

70% in NCAA FBS football who apply for the portal are left waiting at the alter. Wonder what it will be for men’s & women’s basketball that will end up being no more than a lateral move or less?
NCAA Presidents need to raise holy hell with the Rules Committee over all this. It’s disruptive as hell & it does not promote loyalty to the schools who originally signed the student-athletes. This has the smell of P5 all over it.

Giving the players what they think they want is not always the best way to help theses same players. The grass is not always greener and sadly a big portion are left without a scholarship.

If your defense is dominating, it's harder for the offense to get it's rhythm down and for things to sync like it's supposed to. And, It's harder to grade players you really need to see perform.
Never been a fan of staging success to make you look good

What all this interest in Farrell? Didn't he leave the NT program over a year ago?
No he transferred in this last season from Oklahoma State. Played in a few plays in the bowl game before he was injured

We have 20 more wins than they have since 1953.
Looks like talking about KU football has hit a sore spot with you. You have gone out of your way to put down UNT the last few days

What's the advantage of having your first team play against the second team other than to have the first team think they're doing better than they actually are?

does not cover the fact we have been not very good in football for a long time, yes we have some up years but overall not so good. We do not compete in the big 12 but we struggle in CUSA. We barely beat UTEP with their 4th string qb last year.
You're actually trying to compare our football team's success to Kansas is success in the past few seasons?

Glass houses........Send KU our game films from last year and sure they would schedule us. I rather play KU than Lamar or Mizzou.
Not anywhere near a glass house. To have the resources and financial income they have and to be this bad of a program is almost unprecedented

IMO, absolutely a very poor decision. For every step Seth takes to look like he is improving as a HC he does something like this. I believe, sadly, this will come back to haunt this team. If Seth does not succeed he only needs to look in the mirror.

@emmitt01Great point. It's strange how coaches will be successful and move to what should be a "better" situation and then never see the same success. Sometimes you are the right person in the right place and for whatever reason you're not able to recreate the success elsewhere.

Shame on them for having an opinion that was not pre approved by you. Also, why does their skin color and age matter?
