from the Kansas Board - "his QB rating last year was better than any QB we've had since 2008 Reesing."
Wow. their program isn't the best. Maybe looks like an lateral move, but really seems like a downwards one.
As I said before, for the past few years KU Football has been the poster child of players being able to say at least they play P5 ball. They have been an absolute embarrassment

Still wonder if they offered or he will be a PWO?

Don't think GM will leave, but I can believe his agent will try and take advantage and work on a new package for him. If not, he needs a new agent.

I dislike the Horns but the truth is they have potentially unlimited resources. Most coaches are going to believe they can succeed at any job. If they go to Texas and win they will get every resource they need.

Scholarship or Walkon?

Wondering, there have been stories where 60-70 percent of the players entering the FB portal end up without a scholarship or dropping down.
Are the numbers for BB similar?

most schools with really good basketball programs have talent in their rotation and in their pipeline from recruiting to graduation. So I dont see a top 25 school in need of a senior transfer, and anyone that would be that good can probably turn pro.
Didn't one of our players recently transfer to Gonzaga ( I think they qualify as top 25) as a Senior? During severa of the tournament games they had mentioned upperclassmen from non-power schools playing for several of the power conference teams. Many coaches will take a shot at getting experience on their teams.

Who is throwing the ball to Darden today? Are there any other players working out?

I think Darden’s stock will take a hit with these pro day numbers. I feel like he needed some lighting times

Noticed several times where starters or key subs for some of the "Big Boy" teams were transfers from Mid-Major and lower level teams.
It is hard, and getting harder for programs to keep their young talent.

Might have something to do with being the worlds biggest sporting news franchise.
Guess if that makes you feel good. ESPN if full of talking heads that spout our bad picks all of the time. They jump on bandwagons and all act like certain coaches are the greatest ever (Lane a couple of years ago, now Sanders is their latest "wonder"). Yes, they are the biggest, but their audience has been falling over the past few years as they have put politics over entertainment. Their radio shows used to be good, but know seem to be used to fill the air time with people who are "names" but not too interesting and seem to make a lot of wrong picks and bad predictions.

Just as big of a question is why does anyone put credence to anything ESPN does?

I guess they decided to use all of their slush fund money to pay for football transfers and could no longer buy BB players

Good publicity for UNT. May be some "on-the-fence", top rated recruits reading this stuff.
And we were not called North Texas State!

That’s for fall sports. Basketball is considered a winter sport.
Long article. It seems to be pointing to ALL athletes who return will not count. Will be up to each school to decide if they want to go over

We have not offered anyone in a couple months or so. This is similar to the last two seasons as well. Seems like once conference play starts we buckle down on the guys we have offered and focus on them, and the season of course.
There are a lot of variables at play right now. For example, everyone is eligible to come back but if they all did, plus our two signees, we would be at 14 scholarships. The limit is historically 13.
The NCAA allowed for seniors to not count towards the 85-scholarship limit for the 2021 football season. I have not seen a similar announcement for basketball rosters to allow for more than 13 scholarship players next season as long as no more than 13 are freshmen-juniors.
So between whether the NCAA allows for more than 13, and figuring out which players will be back next season, my guess is there is still some uncertainty to sort out before we start seeing us chase more players. But hopefully our run has made us very appealing to transfers.

I don’t think we have ever learned anything about a coordinator during spring practice other than how they interact with players. It isn’t until the regular season when we realize how atrocious a hire was. I hope I have to eat my hat on this but I do not have a good feeling about this “hire“.
What has you worried?

Well I think we can safely say now this is perhaps the dumbest sports article ever written in the history of the North Texas newspaper

I have plenty of gaps in my caring and plenty of topics that give me a "get off my lawn" response. I use it to try and be aware of my audience and surroundings. I mean, I think saying "God bless you" when someone sneezes is archaic and irritating - though I fully understand the intention.
When my kids want to say "Oh My GOD!!!" surprised or upset, I remind them that it can be offensive to their grandparents and act like they are standing beside them. Just a sign of respect. Instead they should use "gosh." To me - saying "Jesus H Christ!!!!" when I drop my beer in the yard - is perfectly non-offensive. It does not offend me in the slightest. I have a friend many years ago that heard me say to myself "Jesus F'ing Christ" when I was irritated about something. He didn't hesitate to tell me that it bothered him and he knows that I am better than that. Sure thing - I don't care about the phrase or religion at all so it is not a big deal to me. However, I respect this guy and respect his feelings toward his whole being and if just using a different work can make him feel better - I do it. It's no big deal. When my kids were tiny I would "Good Gravy man! Hurry up!" when they were dragging to get out the door to school.
Just and example for the incoming downvotes. I've spent my whole life side-stepping and being non-offensive out of respect for the community I live in.
You bring up good points and side-stepping is something most of us have done many times, as you said, out of respect. As you alluded to, saying something does not mean you are something. Sometimes inappropriate things are said but that does not necessarily mean they person is rooted in those beliefs. For me, and I know others will passionately disagree, I have a problem when people say, for example, song "X" is racist or inappropriate and then justify why rap songs that are full of directed words are somehow OK because of who is saying them. Maybe you or others think it's simplistic to say right is right and wrong is wrong, but as long as the grey area as wide as it has become we are leaving it wide open for many songs, book, names, etc. to be considered racist or inappropriate.
