Did y'all consider that Liberty has tried to schedule P5 teams and for reasons we all know, they were told NO. Should Liberty be penalized for that?

No, they should not. We have run into the same problem where P5s will not come to Denton, and I am glad we no longer have to play "money" games. Does it make a difference for G5s to schedule P5s and try to strengthen the schedules, or are victories the most important?

What happens when we want to encourage these players to “explore other opportunities?”

Since scholarships are year to year they could just tell the player they're not planning on renewing. However it's more likely they let the player know that their plans are not including them and they urge them to look elsewhere for another opportunity.  Then again if they take Deion's approach they just tell the player you're cut, clear out your locker

  3. It's amazing the number of people on here that when you try and credit someone want to as quick as possible find something to go back after that person. Right or wrong guys we had the worst defense in college football. Honestly it does not look like Morris will make a change ( whether that is out of his true belief, arrogance, or his inexperience, only time will tell) and if he doesn't I will be frustrated but I will support him because I support the Mean Green. We have to all realize as long as we have an air raid mentality coach defense will most likely not be a priority.

Guess we really are a stepping stone football program In Pain GIF by MOODMAN

This could basically be said for every G5 program. Even at the FPS level many of the stars from the highest ranked teams are transferring out. Not saying it's right or wrong but money has taken over the game and players will move for the chance to make money regardless to whether or not they will get playing time. Combine n i l with transfer rules that are a joke( how many players are on their third or fourth School without ever having to sit out). While it is hard to put rules in place to control an NIL money they need to look at the transfers. In my opinion players should get one free transfer whether it is as a undergraduate or a graduate. It will also be nice when these covid exception years run out. Seems like every team has sixth or 7th year players on their squad.

That sounds like someone who is only emotionally invested in himself and what he receives.

I've had a ton of colleagues who have left me with more work so they can take on a new and better job. People I emotionally bonded with that I hope go on to great success.

Otherwise it just sounds lonely and kinda depressing...

Not sure how you got that. Mainly I'm not going to concern myself with someone who no longer cares about my University once they leave. But if you need to feel warm and fuzzy go ahead. You're probably one of those who when their girlfriend broke up with them you still let them have the tickets to the concert you bought so they could take their new boyfriend

Did you ever leave a company for a job in the same industry that paid more and offered you a better opportunity? I have, appreciate the year he gave us, and wish him nothing but the best in the future.

I agree but I also when I've left the company I don't expect those at the company I left to still be cheering for me. I don't blame him for what he does, but my ties to these players is they were playing for North Texas. Once they leave I'm not going to wish them bad luck but I'm also not going to wish them luck

    Co-offensive coordinator.

    So nobody’s in charge.

    Per ESPN -

Littrell, who played fullback on Oklahoma's 2000 national title team, likely would take the lead coordinator role as the Sooners replace Jeff Lebby, who left to become Mississippi State's head coach earlier this week.

Finley, a former Sooners tight end who spent time with three NFL teams, has been at his alma mater since 2021. He's the team's associate head coach for offense in addition to working with the tight ends and H-backs.

Thanks, was not aware of this; I knew individual conferences had rules; but not a group  of  conferences.

However, is it a rule if no one has to follow it?

Deion blew this out of the water. I guess the schools are now thinking that if the players can walk away, we should be able to move on if we choose to.
