  1. Through Mens and Womens Swimming and Diving: Middle Tennessee - 48 Western Kentucky - 43.5 North Texas - 40 Florida International - 33.5 Arkansas State - 32 Florida Atlantic - 29.5 Denver - 28 Troy - 26.5 South Alabama - 24.5 Arkansas-Little Rock - 22 Louisiana-Monroe - 16.5 Louisiana-Lafayette - 16
  2. I know this does not interest everyone, but I figured I would post it for those it does. The womens tourney bracket is completely set. UNT will open against WKU, with Denver waiting in the quarterfinal. UNT lost to WKU 69-64 in Bowling Green on January 8. UNT led that game at the half. The games against Denver have not been as competitive. UNT lost by 19 in Denver and 24 in Denton. Here is the bracket from top to bottom: North Texas vs. Western Kentucky - Denver waiting in quarterfinals. Florida Atlantic vs. Arkansas State - Middle Tennessee waiting in quarterfinals. Troy vs. Louisiana-Monroe - Florida International waiting in quarterfinals. Louisiana-Lafayette vs. South Alabama - Arkansas-Little Rock waiting in quarterfinals.
  3. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The bottom half of the bracket definitely appears to be the more favorable. I also do not like that WKU is on that top half of the bracket with us if we do end with the W4 seed. Either way, we are going to have to go through a good team. If we lose in LR I won't be upset because of the better tourney path, but we do need the momentum...
  4. Tonight was a lot of fun. They got back to playing like they can. I just hope they keep it up (while saving as much energy as possible). It is really sad to think about that being the last time those guys will play at the Super Pit. I hope they come back often, because what they helped build is about to absolutely take off, and they deserve 100% to be a part of it.
  5. Here is what the bracket looks like now. The teams in red (UNT and UALR) are the only teams that don't have a guaranteed seed. UNT is technically the W4 seed right now, and UALR the W5 seed, but I forgot to change it, and since they are the only two teams that can change spots I just left it. The winner of the UNT/UALR game will be the W4 seed, and will play Troy. The loser of the UNT/UALR game will be the W5 seed, and will play USA.
  6. He needs to change his name to Case Keenum before the end of the year and hope the NCAA gets confused.
  7. You are 100% right. My brain is fried from this Marketing Project. Good Catch.
  8. Hopefully his size keeps some of the big name schools away, because that kind of speed would be a HUGE pickup.
  9. Is there a way to have three different colors...One for offers, one for committement, and one for players who commit elsewhere?
  10. I love that we are going after the same players as Texas. It will probably be a rare thing when we steal one away from them, but even if we don't, just offering these guys is going to raise our recruiting profile in the minds of these kids. EDIT: Oh yeah, winning will do wonders as well.
  11. ASU clinches the W1 seed with a win and the winner of WKU/MTSU gets the E2 seed. If we win tonight, the game with UALR Tuesday will basically be a playoff for the W4 seed. If we lose tonight, we get the W5 seed. It all may seem irrelevant, but if we can get back on track we are going to need a good path in the tourney to have any chance of winning it. I would not mind playing ASU again even though they will have a large crowd.
  12. 4 wins in 4 days...it could happen.

Haha. Well hopefully a SBC Tourney Championship will ease the pain!

  13. 1. C.H. Collins is a better stadium than Fouts. 2. We are building a new stadium. 3. Craig Miller is a moron.
  14. Well, with the loss tonight, North Texas is no longer in bye contention. The highest seed that North Texas will be able to get is the W4 seed. The W5 seed (the current seed) is also a possibility. If we win out, we get the W4 seed. If we do not, we get the W5 seed. Unfortunately that is the situation we are in. We will be playing a first round game against either USA or Troy. USA will hold the tiebreak over Troy if both finish the season on the same record (they are both currently (6-9). If we end with the W4 seed, FAU will be waiting in the quarterfinal for us. If we get the W5 seed, it will be Denver, ULL, or ASU. ASU will win the West with a victory over UALR Saturday, and my gut feeling says that would be the best for us. Here is what the bracket looks like going into Saturday...by the way, the E2 spot will be decided by the game between WKU/MTSU on Saturday; winner takes it. The teams in red are locked into their seeds. I really, really wish I had better news, but we are going to have to win 4 in 4 days. I'm sure some people will say that can't happen, but I really don't have it in me to give up on these guys until the final buzzer in Hot Springs. For what it's worth, I think the W5 seed is much better, but who knows.
  15. This game is really important...I actually have not been this nervous in awhile.
  16. Here is the bracket heading into tonight. We have the possibility of being seeded anywhere from W2-W5. If we get seeded W2 (the least likely) we will play the winner of ULM and WKU/MTSU. If we do not get a bye, our first round opponent will likely be either Troy, USA, or FIU, although if WKU collapses late, they could be a first round opponent as well. The teams in Red are locked into their seed. In my opinion, the W5 seed has the easiest path of any non-bye seed right now.
  17. We need ULL to beat Denver. USA over UALR would be an added bonus, but really doesn't mean a whole lot. EDIT: Oh yeah, we need to beat ASU.
  18. C.H. Collins will be a much more enjoyable place to watch a football game than Fouts, and I expect a good crowd even with it being off campus. If a student was going to attend the spring game to begin with, they'll probably be willing to drive 5 minutes to see it.
  19. We should offer just in case he can't get into either of those...
