  1. I'm looking for 2 tickets to the Rice game as well, if anyone has something!
  2. Hey guys, I know someone was looking for the last game, but any chance to buy a couple of club level seats? Anyone know a guy who knows a guy, perhaps?
  3. This site is working for me right now: http://www.firstrowsports.tv/watch/83854/1/watch-north-texas-vs-tulsa.html
  4. I was there and caught most of it on video. Sorry its a little blurry though.
  5. I had a chance to talk with him and his son. He just moved to the area recently and was looking for a local team to follow. He doesn't have any previous ties with North Texas, doesn't really know anybody around here, and this was his first time to attend a North Texas event. He brought his son out and they were walking around enjoying the atmosphere. I pointed him in the direction of the various booths selling UNT merchandise, but told him I appreciated them coming out and dressing up to support college ball. Hopefully he met many other courteous UNT fans and was able to enjoy his experience so that he comes back, and perhaps someday sends his son to UNT.
  6. From the fact sheet handed out at the Tulsa game: It takes 19 supplemental generators to provide basic electricity for each home game held at the 56-year-old stadium. I've heard RV speak several times this semester about the new stadium, and he always mentions this.

  8. Hey guys, I knew the video was coming and recorded it with my digital camera. Not the greatest quality, and you can't hear much, but I wanted to share at least the visual part with anyone who missed it/wasn't there/etc.
  9. That section, to my right, was the last student section between us and the Navy (visitor) side - not the section where the band sits. And yes, it was rather empty at this point, about 15-20 minutes before the game, but it later filled up.
  10. Here's a video, from the student side:
  11. Just so its out there... last I heard the University bans sidewalk chalk in all places across campus except for when RHA does it in front of the dorms, and during Homecoming Week, during which they actually pass out the chalk for free so students can show their spirit (and even then they limit the 'designated' areas to mostly around the library mall). Otherwise, its frowned upon, and sometimes they make student organizations wash it off for fear of being placed on probation. Obviously they can't stop it (as can be seen by walking across campus on any given day), and often its not student orgs doing it (usually bands, clubs, etc). Perhaps the policy has changed, or maybe they'd be willing to give limited permission. But then that might open up "If they can, why can't I?"....
  12. Looks like the flood wasn't good for the fountain.
  13. The new and improved fountain area flooded as well. I happened to be on campus and got a few pictures of Lake Willis. After a while the fountain turned off. I don't know if someone did it or if it was automatic.
  14. Wow, these pictures are really cool. Thanks for sharing!
  15. Here's what I found on the UNT web site: Link 1 Link 2
  16. Here's a few more pictures I have showing the waterfall in relation to the big fountain. The waterfall does face the street, and it's about 50 feet from the big fountain. In between there's some wood chips with swinging benches, and a giant brick-covered surface with 2 machines (water pumps?) underground. I saw them put these under during construction but have no idea what they are. View from the street, towards the Admin. Building. You can see the big fountain in the background. The machines during construction, now under the bricks. The square metal grates stick out, but it's otherwise flat.
  17. Took a few pictures Friday before the storms. Looks very nice. The waterfall. Original fountain, with a new circle of small followers. They also filled in this part, so it's not nearly as deep as before. THe 2 pools running towards the Admin. Building. Both also have small streams (on the right hand side in this picture). Close-up below. Looking towards the big fountain. There is a plaque stating its origins. Aforementioned plaque. Notice the dedicated date: April 23, 2007. Lots and lots of benches.
  18. I like her and her answers. Some people feel otherwise, mostly about parking: President Interviewed and Parking Talk
  19. Thanks Harry, it's working for me.
  20. If possible, I would love to be added as well. Thanks!
  21. I wrote them last September (05)... and nothing has changed. This is our exchange:
  22. They had this on display with other items that were listed as official examples of items with the new branding, so it seems like this is what the new plates will look like.
