  1. Rubin now says out indefinitely. CJ says day to day.
  2. If we had CJ and RJ healthy, we would have been able to close out all of these recent close losses. I think a similar run as the NIT would be possible to win the conference tournament this year with them.
  3. I think Stone would be a solid contributor at a Southland conference or similar level school. He handled his role in CUSA but American conference is now a cut above his level.
  4. It’s ok to be disappointed. Ok to make suggestions. I am glad we are in the position of having had so much recent success to then feel this way. All of the players in the game play their hard and give 100% . I am grateful for them. . A few on the bench and 1 playing is not at this level is all . With a healthy Rubin and CJ , no doubt we had a legit chance to win the regular season title and conference tournament.
  5. Little Chris can play more . He is not scared .
  6. Depth depth depth . We are losing these games in the offseason. We catch ourselves hoping for something good late in recruiting season . Then settle late . This will take $$$$$ . Also encourage some of the bench to move on to lesser conferences or D 2.
  7. This game is killing me! We are even with these teams …maybe better if healthy!
  8. Look at it this way : we had to win the conference tournament every year before to get into March Madness . This is no different. 19 wins and I see an NIT invite as possible. 20 a definite entry into the NIT.
  9. I watch every game I can now . Super fun team that plays with passion.
  10. How far we have come! December 23, 1998 Box Score COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - On a record-setting night for No. 5 Maryland, coach Gary Williamsallowed himself to loosen his tie and crack a joke. Lonny Baxter set a school record by hitting all 10 of his field goal attempts and scored 28 points Wednesday night as the Terrapins registered the most lopsided victory in school history, 132-57 over winless North Texas.
  11. Quality game, class teams , no complaints. 3s at the end could have gone either way.
  12. Coach Hodge deserves a lot of credit for his leadership of the players. Several things stick out: 1. Keeping cool as a team when bad calls happen. (Maybe he could set an NBA player straight just south of us) 2. Allowing the players to play with passion, yet controlled passion . 3. Every court huddle is legit. A stick together culture 4. He loves his players. He opens his home and office to the players and staff. 5. Allow for celebration of hard work paying off and success.
  13. Women’s basketball is exciting! wait , did I say that? I did ! Go Mean Green ladies and Coach Burton!
  14. South Florida was a very hard team to beat . Good European players who could knock down medium range jumpers and 3s . Good team offense, savvy and sharp shooters. It was a nice win . I think the best of the season so far.
  15. I would rather lose vs. Charlotte and pick up urgency for SMU and tough stretch than get complacent.
  16. All good . Conference has respect. No more than 2 are getting to the Big Dance anyway. We have to win either the conference regular season or tournament to get in . FAU or Memphis can finish 2nd in conference and still get in.
  17. “They are who we thought they were!” Dennis Green
  18. Trivia : What UNT basketball player punched through glass thus inspiring the Mean Green to a winning streak ? Hint : after 2000 and hint a winning streak means not in Binford era.
  19. Great call , Hank! I know you wish you would have also said, “Aaarrrr you kidding me!” (In pirate 🏴‍☠️ voice)
  20. And the touch wasn’t so much a push off and would not have caused the defender to stop it. Upon further review, Touchdown!
  21. Felton was talking SO MUCH trash . It was really funny that see him biting on his jersey .
  22. I was shocked when he brought a snake to the field for the games and dropped DDTs on LBs .,
  23. This is a confidence issue coupled with a get your own shot / late game dribble penetration issue . Kai had the ability get a shot late with his size and post up game plus TP clutch shooting.
