  1. Thats Florida math. If you don't actually think about it, it adds up perfectly.
  2. Agree. That's the case whether you're Fine, Morris, or Del Rio from Florida. Point I was trying to make is that i dont feel like his lack of size puts him at an extra disadvantage. People were talking like he was a China doll that was gonna break upon first contact.
  3. I was impressed. No real worries about durability. Surviving 7 sacks and all the knockdowns against an SEC power just proved his toughness. Any player is at risk of being hurt, but I don't feel he has any extra likelihood because of his size.
  4. Ha! That would actually make for good media with the "rivalry" at 1-1 and the controversy ending this game. Wren needs to open up the schedule and get a series going.
  5. I also saw this weekenend Appalachian state is hosting Miami. A school in the sun belt, and also a fairly new FBS, is hosting a P5 in their 25,000 seat stadium. That just speaks to your point. ETA: just checked. They joined the Sun Belt in 2014. So this is only their 3rd season in FBS.
  6. I think Morris let nerves get the best of him. He has a lot of expectations to live up to and it seemed like he was forcing and trying too much to see those through. I say give him a couple more games to settle in. Rotate Fine in but by week 5 or 6, you make the decision to change starters if we dont see results.
  7. Thought this was a good read. If Littrell and Morris can live up to their expectations, I think this could turn into an interesting series. http://www.todaysu.com/around-the-u/smu-north-texas-should-open-the-season-every-year-not-just-this-one/amp/
  8. "... but it was a Fine drive." One thing I look forward to is all the wonderful usage of puns that Fine will inspire.
  9. Overhauling complete offensive and defensive styles. I saw flashes of what could be and I'll still have faith that they can get things going. Hopefully it'll be this year but we may have to wait a season to see results. Go green!!
  10. Got in line at 545. Didn't get tickets until almost an hour later.
  11. Attendance is so light because everyone's waiting outside to get tickets. I've been in line now for 30 min
  12. My company usually puts people up at the Hilton Garden south of 288 or the Hampton Inn north of teasley. Those are probably the best reviewed hotels in Denton.
  13. Sorry, been out of town. I appreciate the effort but my critique would be 1) it's almost 30 min north of Denton on the border of Gainesville and 2) it's on 35 going north instead of south so people only see it as they're driving out of "Mean Green Country".
  14. We now have a billboard stating, "North Texas is Mean Green Country". Located on 35 north of Sanger. So I guess the AD does read these threads?
  15. Everyone seems to forget that we have an engineering program that's been steadily growing and creating a solid alumni base in DFW. I would love to see UNT start marketing the STEM side of the university instead of just music/arts. UNT is in fact more than just a music school these days.
  16. I'm from Detroit and I grew up bleeding maize and blue so looking forward to "The Game" was a huge ordeal. Texas state may be reaching but I'd love to have an actual UNT rivalry to look forward to. And the only thing with LA tech is their relatively small enrollment. And Ruston is a small city as well so do they have fan base to support a regional rivalry? If something does emerge, I wouldn't mind making the 4 hour drive there though.
  17. Well this was received well... The feeling against them is mutual but I didn't think we were above playing them. I'm just being realistic. They have Houston, UTSA, SMU, and baylor on their future non-conference schedule. Why not us? It's going to be awhile before we have a boise state story or even a houston season where we beat FSU in a new year's day bowl. In the mean time, another in-state rival would be more relevant than us complaining about our FCS game each year.
