Let’s add recruiting into this. Here’s the recruiting rankings of the coaches mentioned (per 247). Matt Rhule AAC rank: 2013: 7th 2014: 4th 2015: 5th 2016: 2nd PJ Fleck MAC rank : 2013: 7th 2014: 1st 2015: 2nd 2016: 1st Willie Taggart AAC rank: 2013: 1st 2014: 1st 2015: 1st 2016: 5th Jeff Brohm CUSA rank: 2014: 5th 2015: 11th 2016: 7th Tom Herman AAC rank: 2015: 7th 2016: 1st All except for maybe Brohm, can be argued that they’re great recruiters. Littrell has had the 8th and 11th ranked classes in CUSA. I think this would be a negative strike for a P5 AD although I think recruiting will pick up after this season.

FSU is 5-6 and plays ULM next week. ULL is 5-6 and plays Appalachian State. NMSU is 5-6 and plays So Alabama. There could be 83 after next week.

This needs to be on a scheduled bump. Not saying it couldn’t happen, but I think Littrell is still unproven in the eyes of a P5. I would say next year or the year after he starts being a serious contender if we continue our upward trend.

Dino Barbers has 2 4-8 seasons at Syracuse. Yes, he’s had a big upset each season but there’s no way he jumps up after this year. People are just throwing names out now for the sake of it. No actual evidence.

As someone who grew up in Detroit and was raised a Michigan fan, it’s been a beating to watch this guy play every week. I don’t know how Harbaugh is in year 3 and doesn’t have a competent QB.

Interesting note. I recently had a resume review with the career center (free if you’re alumni). The counselor made a note about adding THE when referencing UNT and was very insistent about it. So it’s not just athletics but professional/academics that are using it. Think about it. We are THE university of this region, hence THE University of North Texas. With the alumni base and academic reputation we hold, I personally like it and will continue using it.

Wow, P5 jobs are becoming so cut-throat. It’s like you can’t have a down year or you risk losing your job, especially at the bigger schools.
