  1. No I wasn't saying that. Just was raised a MSU fan because my dad's family all went there and see Wisconsin play a lot. Always just have great players.
  2. UNT offered yesterday: https://mobile.twitter.com/Caesar_Austin/status/688158584723517440 http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2629817/caesar-williams http://247sports.com/Player/Caesar-Williams-38592 Bet he goes to Wisconsin but seems like he would get buried on that depth chart and be able to make an impact early here instead.
  3. Coach Filani started following Nick Smith, RB, Arlington Martin http://247sports.com/Player/Nic-Smith-33739 http://www.scout.com/player/193686-nick-smith http://m.hudl.com/athlete/2594964/nick-smith He is also following Tyler Wilson http://www.hudl.com/athlete/872587/tyler-wilson I bet he swung by Arlington Martin today. Definitely excited about how many 3 star running backs the staff has been going after. Going to to get some playmakers on offense it looks like.
  4. Definitely agree! Was just going through the possible recruits Littrell was there to see. Didn't think it was even worth mentioning but saw the predictions to UNC so thought might as well as there could be a connection. Judging by all the RB's that Littrell has been keeping track of I definitely think he was there mainly for the RB and the Olineman.
  5. It's cool! Here is Firzgerald's page: http://247sports.com/Player/Andrew-Fitzgerald-69294 Doubt we could flip him but would definitely be closer to home and get immediate playing time.
  6. Are you thinking about Kaden Smith? He's the TE that is committed to Stanford. Number 2 TE in class so don't think we are quite on his radar. Fitzgerald is the DE
  7. https://mobile.twitter.com/stanfordgerry/status/688035883287642112 Most likely he was talking to these guys: http://247sports.com/Player/Troy-Elliott-77320 http://247sports.com/Player/Nate-Hopkins-76906 Andrew Fitzgerald could be another possibility even though he is committed to Texas. On his 247 page half of the predictions were for him to go to UNC. So maybe he has built a connection with Littrell. He seemed to enjoy the Junior days he went to at UNT last year as well. Definitely would probably get to make a much bigger impact early at UNT rather than Texas.
  8. Shows that he is definitely interested. Every other coach he tweeted that he talked to he pretty much says "thanks but no thanks. Still going to OSU" so the fact he didn't here and is excited to meet with him next week shows there is a good chance we could get him.
  9. I went to high school with Davis Webb and reminds me of him. Both good size but not much weight. Looks like he has very good touch on his throws and a good arm. Would be a good under the radar pickup!
  10. Kept seeing him following the Tech coaches pages the last few weeks. Was just hoping it wasn't anything. Wish him the best of luck!
  11. Saw that the UNC director of player personnel started following some of the UNT assistants and the Coaching staff page. Most likely is just keeping up with Littrell but something to keep in mind. Here is his bio: http://m.goheels.com/mobile/ViewArticle.dbml?atclid=209515961&DB_OEM_ID=3350&
  12. La'Darius Hamilton, DE/OLB, Corrigan http://247sports.com/Player/LaDarius-Hamilton-69938 http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1853651/ladarius-hamilton Just decommitted from Tx State on the 8th. Ekeler started following him as well. Ekeler definitely seems very on top of players and is trying to get guys to fit his system.
  13. Zach Hall, Ath, Tyler Lee (Tyler) http://247sports.com/Player/Zach-Hall-35566 http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2593811/zach-hall Coach Ekeler started following him on Twitter. He had offers from Baylor, Missouri, and Tech but he tore his meniscus in September and was out the rest of the year. His coach has been tweeting about him to smaller colleges now so I wouldn't be surprised if schools like Baylor, Missouri, and Tech pulled their offers. If they did I think this guy would definitely be worth taking a chance on. He is also following North Texas pages and is following Canales so wouldn't be surprised if he has some interest as well.
  14. Coach Reffett started following him and he tweeted this last night: https://mobile.twitter.com/YouKnow_Pat/status/685293969849200640 Here are his recruiting pages and hudl highlights: http://247sports.com/Player/Patrick-Peek-77379 http://sports.yahoo.com/fau/football/recruiting/player-Pat-Peek-168569 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/214955/patrick-peek http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3941822/patrick-peek
  15. Since feeling at home is one of his top 2 criteria, you'd think it'd have to be UNT right? He can practically see his house from Apogee! Can you feel more at home than that? Joking aside, I'm just glad we finally have a coaching staff that is exciting recruits and actually talks to more than 3 high school kids a year!
  16. Hopefully we can get players like English to recruit this kid as well. We need to use these more talented players off the field as well to help show that this isn't going to be the same ol' UNT anymore.
  17. Thanks! Totally forgot about that. It was very unlikely anyway.
  18. I know it is extremely unlikely but think there is any chance Spavital comes in as a Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks coach? He is following Littrell on Twitter (which obviously doesn't mean much) and probably can't get too good of a job after being let go. Coached under Holgerson at WVU so Air Raid/Tech ties and is a great recruiter. Obviously recruiting to A&M isn't the same as UNT but with a Heisman winner under his belt would be a good addition. Almost definitely out of our price range but is an interesting thing to ponder.
  19. Hopefully the staff really tries hard at the end to get this kid. With English coming in, KP as d-line coach, and in his hometown, lots of selling points. He is following English on Twitter so you know he has to have seen all the hype at UNT now.
  20. This is what I was thinking. I think UNT might be the best for both parties so hopefully he comes here. Would be highest rated recruit according to ESPN since they started doing the ratings.
  21. English has been following UNT players and Brice from the bball team this week. Also started following Coach Ekeler tonight. I really believe he'll be coming here. Kincade is harder to predict but more UNT than SMU or Houston for him as well so hoping we get both!
  22. Jake Constantine, QB, Camarillo, CA class of 2016 Looks like him and Filani have had contact. Doesn't have any offers but is a 3 star at 247. Looks like he was ejected and suspended for a couple games this year as well. http://247sports.com/Player/Jake-Constantine-77926 http://sports.yahoo.com/bwi/football/recruiting/player-Jake-Constantine-167076 http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2642095/jake-constantine
  23. He is following coach Littrell on Twitter now too. Think this guy would be a great addition to this class. Definitely agree that he projects as a guard. He seems like Jordan Murray as in they both are guys where putting them in that college weight room could do wonders. Both have huge frames so just shedding some of that bad weight and adding muscle could make them beasts, especially in C-USA. I could definitely get used to a left side of the oline containing those 2 in a few years!
  24. seems to me that he kinda outgrew safety and moved to linebacker and fell off radar. Honestly don't know though but makes most sense considering scout wrote about him last year but is now only a 2 star there.
  25. Louis Kelley Jr., Safety, Pflugerville, TX Coach Patrick and him have recently started following each other. Wouldn't be surprised if we went after him. Was being recruited by Baylor and Texas. Also got academic all-state, so definitely seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. http://247sports.com/Player/Louis-Kelley-Jr-37274 http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2951017/louis-kelley-jr http://www.scout.com/college/texas/story/1433114-louis-kelley-has-eyes-of-texas-upon-him
