  1. I also went to North Mesquite from 96 to 2000. All my info from football was posted on page two of this thread I think... I was on varsity my sophomore year and Coach Elam was a beast! Eyes up or it is GUT CHECK TIME!
  2. GO STALLIONS! I also played football at North Mesquite, 96-2000. 96 we were number one in the nation, but lost to the Fight'n Farmers (who went on to win state). We beat Odessa Permian in Mesquite, at Memorial Stadium and then kicked the crap out of them in Odessa the next year. I was on varsity as a sophomore ( on two people on the team were sophomore). Played middle and outside linebacker. Sadly, I herniated three disk in my back the summer before my Junior year. After both the preseason games I had to quit forever.... My dad still has letters from all kinds of schools inquiring about me. None really got to offer me anything on paper because of my age but I did talk to a few college coaches. Got a lot of letter from Nebraska, Syracuse, Kansas State, New Mexico State, and SFA. After I had to stop playing I stayed on the team and helped the coaches out. It was nice of them to let me stay a part of the team I loved. Since then I have had 5 back surgeries. Glad I stopped playing when they told me to. Could be a lot worse.
  3. I wonder if he is still sober... Denton can be hard for a sober young man.
  4. They said they are keeping the Voertmans name... I hope you are joking about this damn trailer hitch.
  5. Sadly, I can not go today. I will soon and let everyone know what I find.
  6. You are right... When I get off work I will go that way and let you guys know if there is anything amazing.
  7. Construction does not always run on time. So, I figure someone on here might have been on the campus and actually saw it open. I am old and out of shape. Parking and walking over there could kill me in this heat.
  8. Does anyone know if the new book store actually opened today? I want to check out the new merch. When Barnes and Noble takes over they always bring in better fan gear.
  9. I have been calling Chick-Fil-A Homophobic chicken for months. It has not stopped me from eating there. I think gay people should be able to get married and have all the rights of a man and women who are married. I also believe many of the people who own large companies are old, white, and republican. So, they probably are against gay marriage. If I let their stance on the subject stop me from eating or going to a business they own then I would not leave my house too much, and I would have to cook all the time. They have the right to believe what they want and so do I. Of course if they tried to push their ideals on too me I would have to go ape shit on them. P.S. GO MEAN GREEN!
  10. Sounds like a fun time. I will see you guys there.
  11. New helmets are cool and all, but wins are cooler.
  12. I was just reading the story about the Raiders and there huge celebration... Well screw them! I called the owner of Oak Street (A proud UNT Alumni) and he said everyone can meet up at 7pm on Monday and celebrate this new chapter in UNT history. Who is in? and does GO MEAN GREEN want to help promote this?
  13. That is what I am saying! I am going to see if Oak Street Draft House will let us have a party there. Who is in?
  14. I like watching these clips. All of them are great but it makes me sad to see so much talent and we are still not even at 500.
  15. I am impressed... Now that needs to happen every game this season multiple times.
  16. Last year they had Byrd starting... Is that not the case this year?
  17. I want to see photos of the inside of this fan trailer. Anyone have some or know where I can find them?
  18. True that. You must give the Little Guys crew respect.
  19. This thread is going places! Keep up the good work everyone!
  20. I went to TCU (which is ranked) and I was way more challenged in classes at UNT. PS I have degrees in the liberal arts and social sciences... So, it could be different in other areas of study.
