  1. Sigma Chi I haven't heard anything set in stone, but Sigma Phi Epsilon always shows up in numbers and represents well.
  2. I don't care what Bowl we're in, or who the opponent is! This game is like Christmas Morning in Heaven to me! My fraternity put together a group of 70 people, all of whom bought their tickets today in the same section. And yes, at $75 a pop, EVERYONE will be going inside the game. Additionally out of the 72 people I texted (not included in the group of 70), I received 11 maybes and 42 yes's regarding their attendance! I am always the first one to get my hopes way too high, but I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised in every aspect of this bowl game, and I can't freaking wait! GMG
  3. I had to leave at right after the 3rd quarter it was so cold. I can't imagine if we would of played the C-USA championship there on Saturday!
  4. Carlos Harris tweeted that we are the home team
  5. Does anyone know who Rick was talking about when he said "one university is trying to flex its muscle" in the bowl selection process?
  6. HA! I'm pretty sure this is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. The stock in the UNT video went way up after watching this one
  7. When I scrolled down and saw this I laughed so hard my broccoli cheddar cheese soup shot out of my nose! Excellent GIF drop UNTFan
  8. Trice had to be a close second for the Defensive POTW
  9. https://twitter.com/CBS11BillJones/status/396087771502100482 Claims CBS 11's Bill Jones
  10. I bet Ball State is feeling little better about that loss to us as the season goes on
  11. That's awesome! If any team in a AQ conference performed a "stand" comparable to what the Mean Green did it would have been talked about nationally. That being said, I'm still extremely glad to see the local press!
  12. I was just joshing. However, it is going to take quite some time before we fill the stands. I mean hell, a lot people (including students) still think we're in the Sun Belt
  13. If the students filled the stadium what would all you alumni complain about on here?
  14. watched the replay today, Skladany's face was stone cold serious the throughout the entire "stand." I'm more and more impressed every day with his job as the D coordinator
  15. How about that student crowd! I thought it was awesome that all the students stayed till the very end.... just wish they would have let us rush the field!
  16. I don't know which teacher this is, but I have to give you props! I'm probably going to lose some points in my ACCT class for attending the game. We need more teachers like yourself.
  17. As pointed out out by mean green 93-98, proportionally the Greeks show more support than non-Greeks. So how about calling out the the 8000-9000 non-Greek students who live on campus and have never been to a single game. Furthermore, the Greek tailgates are consistently bringing out the largest groups to the tailgate, which raises the potential for people making their way into the game. Sometimes it's larger than others, but the potential is always there. Additionally, even the Greeks that don't go into the game or even to tailgate for that matter, know what is going on with this football program. This week I have put forth a tremendous amount of effort to promote the game, mainly targeting non-Greek students in my classes and on Facebook, and I have to tell you I'm shocked at how many people don't even know how good we're doing. The number 1 response was, "I've never been to a game, but I'll probably pass since all we do is lose." I'm so sick of hearing the bashing of Greek involvement on this website for two reasons: 1. We are heavily involved in athletics (hell there are two football players in my fraternity) and 2. we're all Mean Green fans, so why would bash any who supports our team. I don't call out "GDI" for having low attendance rates.Whether your Greek or non-Greek, if you don't support your either ignorant to the program, don't like football, or an idiot. That being said, everyone keep up the promotions, our boys truly do deserve the largest crowd they've ever seen in apogee and it's largely our responsibility as fans to get butts in those stands. GMG
  18. I'd definitely put my money on the Mean Green over TCU if the game was played at the Nest
  19. Parents pulling this kind of crap only hurts their kids. They will look to blame someone else for the rest of their lives anytime they lose anything
  20. #1 sounds like a fact from the past not something to hope for.... but I have to agree with KRAM1. Every year I get so pumped up and tell all my friends and family from other schools "this is the year for UNT, you just wait and see". I hang my Mean Green poster on my wall, circle the games I KNOW we can win, a few we should win, and at least 1 I hope we win. I spend hours planing a road trip with my buddies to the bowl game we never become eligible for and lastly I spend a ton of money on new tailgating polos and booze for the home games. Then, as the season plays out I have to write a red "L" next to majority of the circled games, throw out the plans for a bowl trip, and spend even more on drinks post game to drown my sorrows. Honestly though, I never stop doing the same thing every year, and that's what college football is all about! No one can call the members on this board bandwagoners, and when we do start seeing success (and we will!) we can be assured we contributed to it; whether it be through monetary support, attending games, or just believing in our team! So everyone quit your whining and get back to posting all the things this off season that are going to contribute to upsetting majority of the teams on our 2013 schedule!!! GMG
  21. An analysis of Mac's ability in year three, good or bad results, is going to be a little distorted with the switch to C-USA coming that year.
  22. Dunno man, I'll be sure to ask those boneheads what the hell they were thinking next time I see them?
  23. You are correct, it was for the Ledet family. One of the Ledet girls is student here and member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. They wore maroon because TAMU was a big part of their life and there has been a large group promoting maroon in honor of the 4 family members lost in the recent plane crash. Although its not green it was for a very cause and I was glad to see so many people sporting the ribbons being handed out.
